  3. Too many fake sweeteners tenf to give me migraines. Try a whey Protein that doesn't have sweeteners or is sweetened with stevia. I add Isopure unflavoured to broth and pureed Soups. Jay Robb makes a protien powder sweetened wi t h stevia. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  4. Currently Isopure is my favourite. I like the unflavoured mixed with homemade vegetable Soup I puree. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  5. Some loose a lot, but I've only lost 4 lbs in the 7 days I've been on liquids of 800 calories or less. I think I actually did better when I was replacing 2 meals with a shake and eating a normal balanced meal. Around 1200 calories. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Too many symptoms...

Urgent care or Emergency room if it gets too bad. If the hospital you had surgery at has an urgent care I would start there. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeve vs Bypass

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I had a long talk with my surgeon and we both agreed the sleeve was the best option for me given my tendency to be naturally low on Iron, the fact I'm on high doses of steroids 2 to 3 times a year for asthma (unrelated to my weight), and no history of GERD. I'm scheduled for July 13th. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  8. I am currently scheduled for a RNY on July 13th. I'm questioning if I should switch to a sleeve. I know I need to come to the decision that works best for me, but I'm interested in why others choose the sleeve or RNY. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeve or GB?

@@snokb04 thank you for your post, I also have asthma and have been concerned about RNY which I'm scheduled for and want to chang to the sleeve. The steroids I take for asthma 2 to 3 time a year in high doses made me nervous with the RNY malabsoprtion . I'll ask my surgeon about switching. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  10. I have 6 weeks scheduled. But playing it by ear. I have a lot of sick time and I'll be going back into a high stress job plus a drive an hour to and from work. My guess is I'll be back after 4 weeks. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

I'm scheduled for July 13th. Just started the 2 week liquid diet. I can have protien shakes and pureed soup with protien powder added. I don't really like canned or box soups so I'm thinking of making homemade vegetable soup and sticking it in the Ninja. Has anyone else made homemade soup for their liquid diet? Any good ideas? My hair, my hair!

This is my concern also. I have a month before surgery and am nervous about the hair loss. I also took Topamax and lost half my hair and it never came back. Went on the HCG diet, lost a lot of hair again, and only some came back. I'm afraid I'm going to end up bald. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  22. one thing I have invested in is some small ramekins - about the size around of a coffee cup and then if I am having something warm I put it on a cup warmer so that it warms up the ramekin and keeps my food the right temperature. has saved a few dishes for me.Awesome tip, thank you. Sleep study?

I had to have one, I needed to take a sleeping pill in order to sleep but turns out I have mild apnea. I was required to be on a cpap for 30 days before they would schedule my surgery. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Sleep apnea

I had to go back after diagnosed with mild apnea. It took a 3 months total get the testing, machine, insurance approval, etc. I then had to wait 30 days after getting the machine and have the results sent to my surgeon before they would schedule my surgery.
