I'm 5'10 and I weighed 287 before surgery. I am currently 215 at 9 months out. My primary care doctor suggested 170 but I'm not sure I want to look like that again. I was 154lbs in high school 20+ years ago. I took this picture a week ago.

I think you should call your surgeon. Try taking really teeny sips OFTEN. See if you can get ANY Protein shake down. Even an oz....even if it takes you a half an hour!
You need the liquids. It's tough. BUT PLEASE call the doc if you aren't able to get stuff down.

It sounds like you are on the mend! Hope you are able to go home soon.

Have your gallbladder checked,I had that problem had to have it removed that helped then I had a scope done and had the doctor widen the hole so now I can eat and drink more sometimes the do it to small.I'm still struggling to do my liquids but if I feel hydration coming on I just call and they set me up to come in to e.r and get a bag of fluid.my docs wouldn't help so I found another doc to help

After five long weeks in the hospital...I am finally going home tomorrow!! So happy!!

Wow, I don't know why you were in that long, but I am cheering that you get to go home. I know myself, the one day I was in the hospital, I didn't care for, so 5 weeks..

Yikes! That is a long time to be in the hospital! Glad you are getting to go home and I hope everything is okay.

Here is a quick update:
I am still in the hospital (yikes an entire month now!) which of course has been pretty rough...especially on my kids.
But anyway...they did a procedure today where they clipped and cauterized the hole.
The hole was less than a cm so hopefully this mess is finally coming to the end!????

So sorry to hear this. I hope you will be well and out of the hospital soon and home with your family.

I am sorry to hear that. I had a small leak 2 weeks after my WLS and was on home IVs for 2 months. No food or Water or anything for that matter by mouth for 2 months. I actually forgot how to swallow once I could have sips of Water. It all worked out in the end and I am still happy i went through with this. I am almost down 120 now and still hoping for more. Hang in there, it will get better.
