Hi all! I was banded on 4/16/03 by Dr Ortiz. I have lost 55 pounds so far and am thrilled with it all. I just got my first fill 10 days ago, and I am losing once again.

I am so happy that I made this decision. It hasn't been that hard, at least so far. I do feel that those 55 pounds are gone for good, not like the other times that I have lost weight.

It's good to see you here! You're doing so well! 55! Wow! You must feel so much better already. I sure do! I've lost 82 so far, and it really seems to make a difference. My knees barely hurt anymore, for which I'm so grateful. Sometimes I get discouraged that I have so far still to go (100 lbs!), but I guess even if I never lost even 1 more this would have still been worth it. Went to disneyland with my family a short time ago and walked all day, went on all the rides, had a great time. That wouldn't have worked 82 lbs. ago!
