  1. Well, I feel a whole lot better now after hearing all the positive responses. Guess I'll be toasting the happy couple (with a Protein shake of course!!), and possibly in a sleeveless summer dress?......can't even imagine that, but guess it's possible. Thanks to all !!
  2. Thanks GetJolly@aol.com for continuing to post and advise all us Newbies. I haven't even had my surgery yet and am scouring this site for all the information I can to be well prepared. Glad to see there's some out there that have many years "under their belt", so to speak haha. We need you !! Missy Ellen hope your recovery is going well and that some of your issues have been resolved. We'll be waiting for an update! Congratulations for going through with one of the most important things you'll ever do for yourself.
  3. Hi everyone! I'm in this group to hopefully relate to people my own age (I'm 63....240 lbs. 5'3") Not even sleeved yet (should be January 2016) and have been invited to a wedding of close friends in June. Not sure whether to make plans (airplane reservations, hotel etc....) or not because I don't know what to expect 5 months after surgery. Will a person have graduated to soft foods, and not have to puree everything by then? Just have doubts whether I should put myself through that or not but don't want to hurt my friends feelings by not being there. I've opted NOT to discuss this with anyone except my husband (currently) and will tell my sister soon but not until I see her in ATL later in the week. Haven't even decided on whether to share my announcement to other friends and family........well, at least not yet anyway. Any and all input will be much appreciated. Thanks and hope you all are having the best week possible under many different circumstances

I feel the same as everyone that commented. You are a true inspiration. You look marvelous and I would never know you were the same person in the earlier pictures.....SO much younger looking!!! Great job I know it was hard work and you nailed it !!
  5. Congratulations on reaching 100 lbs lost......what an accomplishment. I don't have a date for my surgery but thinking Dec/Jan. May I ask what does MFP stand for? I've seen it several times throughout posts.
