  1. Hey mimisleeved! I'm from Houston! We got sleeved around the same time! 10102015 for me. I'm gonna add you in insta!
  2. Thanks guys. I'm just being crazy lol. I guess I was just getting used to losing a pound a day. thanks for the support y'all!
  3. So I had my gastric sleeve done on 11/10 last week. It's been exactly one week so far as of today, and I've lost a total of 11 pounds. I weighed myself this morning and I didn't lose anything at all today. am I not getting enough water? Should I be drinking more protein shakes? Shouldn't I be losing weight like crazy right now? I'm so upset I did somethings wrong.
  4. I'm having the same problem right now! I'm one week post op from the gastric sleeve. I know I don't feel hungry but I guess I still have the habit of wanting to eat everything. Like no hunger feeling at all but the appetite or craving of real food I guess is the way I can explain it. Maybe because I feel like I'm being deprived on being on liquids for the next two weeks lol.
  5. It'll be here before you know! I think the anesthesia just did a number on me bc once that wore off I felt a 100x better. The pain post op will be there but that's expected. Most of my pain is on the right side but I've been trying to just take the pain medicine at night time so I don't become dependent on it. So far so good. I was 257 pre op and weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 249 already!
  6. Glad everyone's surgery went well!! I'm feeling more like me today. The anesthesia took awhile to completely wear off. I had terrible nausea post op and pain while throwing up or dry heaving. Taking medications mostly orally now so I'm assuming I'm doing better. I haven't thrown up as much today and have been holding down the liquids.
  7. Thank you everyone! The surgery went well but recovery was a bit rough. I had the worst nausea from all the stomach acid lingering around. Pain hasn't been much of a problem either than when I'm dry heaving or having the hiccups. I'm doing a lot better today and continue to ambulate as much as I can. I probably walked for thirty minutes this past hour. Hoping to discharge today and recover well at home. Thanks for all the support!
  8. It's hit me today that I'm finally getting my gastric sleeve tomorrow morning. I'll be at the hospital by 6am so bright and early! I hope and pray all goes well and everything is a success and no post op complications for anyone else that is going in tomorrow as well! Positive vibes, thoughts, and prayers are appreciated.
  9. I hope your surgery went well!!! I'm getting jittery for mine. I think it finally hit me today that it's all happening tomorrow! I'll keep y'all updated
  10. Kept me updated!! Hope your surgery goes well
  11. Got the call to be at the hospital by 6am Tuesday morning!!! Definitely helped me through my struggle today. Just two more days practically!
  12. Well they say it's primarily for your liver to shrink so it's not as enlarged during surgery.
  13. Omg I totally understand the food funerals lol. I was hoping to get down to 247-250 by next week.
  14. I started this journey back in August and can't believe it's already time for my surgery next week! I've been on the pre-op full liquid diet for about a few days and it has been very difficult to resist temptation. I'm supposed to be on the full liquids from nov3 till surgery date, so for seven days. I had solid food the first day of the full liquids and felt so guilty. I did better yesterday but I had quite the handful of crackers with my Soup at dinner. I'm hoping the carb cravings will stop today. I weighed myself this morning and have gone from 257 to 254. Three pound down! I'm committed to stay motivated and stay away from temptations the rest of this journey. I don't want anything to stand in the way of my surgery next week! Anyone else getting their gastric sleeve nov 10 next week? Share your journey with me! Thanks

    Recovery Time?

Thanks for replying! I'm on my feet for 12 hours at least 3-4x a week and constantly moving, lifting, walking/running, and transferring patients around so that's why I'm so concerned. I'm tired as it is after a long 12 hour shift. I don't think I'll be able to go back after 1-1.5
