  1. I didn't have a set plan, I was just told low carbon (less than 50) low fat (less than 20) so I ended up having a shake for Breakfast, Soup for lunch, then a low fat meat with stir fried vegetables for dinner. Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App
  2. Choose an aisle seat so you can get up/move around easily. Check seat guru if you want to know which seats are best and how wide your seat will be on the plane so you know what to expect.   4. I went to the the 'my content' option under my name and it's coming up as no topics, even though I know I have a lot of threads I have been participating in. The same thing happened on the app, any idea where ll my threads are? Also, my (and it seems everyone else's) ticker isn't showing up. When I checked my content again, even the answer to this thread from eclecticwingtips didn't show.

    Calories Don't Matter?

    I've always been against the idea of 'a calorie is a calorie is a calorie' as an idea because certain foods affect you completely differently. With that in mind it doesn't surprise me you're seeing these results. Have you seen the documentary 'fed up'? It explains it quite well too. I think it's much more important to eat 'clean', or as non-processed as you can manage. If you're eating massively over calories then you'll still have a problem, but they're not my main concern.   7. I was told to keep it under 50g of carbs a day for the pre-op, and under 100 after. However looking at my food diary I'm naturally on about 10-20g a day. I'm kind of car sensitive when it comes to earing triggers so the lower the better for me. There are Protein shakes thar have low carbs, try another brand.     The hunger can go away once you hit mushies, so don't worry too much yet, it may just be because liquid has no restriction.

  14. The throwing up hasn't happened to me, but I have had times where an hour of having something I've had to run to the toilet. Usually it's with milk (I'm not lactose intolerant, I can handle cheese, yogurt etc buy milk just doesn't like me, i've has to switch to soy). Could it be there was something in the sauce, or that it was too fatty? Your stomach tolerance can change day to day, but keep an eye on this and if ut repeats go talk to your doc.     Feb 23 Sleevers!

    I was sleeved on Feb 2nd and was in hospital for a week (just the standard time for my surgeon). During that first week we were focusing on hydration and getting me to sip all day, not on Protein, as hydration was really important. But when I left they told me to focus on protein and Water, so could it simply be because you're not far out? Now you're home you should try and get protein in for sure. If you haven't been given a target you can use the formula: Weight (in kilograms) x 0.8 = your protein needs. Then see what your doc says when you see him again.     I want pureed food!

    I had to do 3 weeks on liquids and now 2 of blended/mushy food. However my Clear Liquids phase counted anything thin enough to run through a fork, not anything literally clear, so I had more choices. Maybe check with your doc and see if they would be OK with you doing other soups/yogurts as long as they were thin and had no lumps. Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App

    I'm in my third week too, and it's hard to get a lot in I agree, but your stomach has been through a trauma, it's hunger signals can't be trusted right now. It's not going to tell you when it needs food. I'm currently eating 5 times a day, maybe 70g Protein for three of them, and then two Protein shakes. The first day I was on mush I could only manage 40g. When you've eaten enough you'll feel it just behind your chest, don't push it after that. Protein shakes will not stretch your sleeve. Be sensible, you can't possibly expect the right results if you're not following your program, anymore than you could expect pills to cure a sickness if you weren't taking them.     Frustrating

    I'm in my third week and have been on mushy food for a few days and I get the same. My suggested portion size is 80-100g, but I can currently only get about 60-70. I think you're possibly trying to eat a little too much, as I frequently have that feeling when Im done to show a bite too many. Eat slowly and wait between bites (I use a toddler fork to make sure they are small) so you can register when the feeling starts so you can stop eating. Remember the portion guideline is exactly that, a guideline, you may not be ready for the full amount yet. Sent from my SM-G900H using the BariatricPal App
