    Surgery Today!

My surgery went great! Very little gas pain and was up walking right away! Thank you for all the prayers!
  2. My surgery is today finally! Nervous and excited all at once! Please pray that God is with my surgeon and all goes well and successful! Here's to my new and healthy journey!????????????
  3. @@Solmar I'm following my surgeons diet plan. I can have 5 protein shakes a day or I can replace up to two shakes with Nutrifast soups. I have to drink at least 64 oz of water and can also have sugar free jello and popsicles.
  4. Thank you all! At least I know I'm not alone on these feelings. My stomach is all kinds of messed up right now. I just need to keep telling myself this is the best thing for me and my family! I want to have a healthy future with my family!
  5. I start my liquid diet tomorrow and I'm starting to freak out! I'm 5'8 and 261 pounds, my family keeps telling me I'm not that big and should reconsider. I have two small kids which I want to be healthy for, but also freak out because I don't want anything to go wrong with having two small kids. Please tell me this is normal and everyone goes through this and I will be fine.
  6. I'm November 16th as well! ????

    UC Weight Loss surgeon question

@@Bloomer723 I really liked him when I had my initial appointment. I am glad to hear he has a good reputation. It's always so scary when you have surgery of any kind, so it's nice to hear good things about your doctor. No, I was lucky enough that my insurance just required a unsupervised 6 month diet within the past two years. I did that, I had my first appointment on 9/16/15 stated that I wanted to try to have the surgery before the end of the year. They ended up working with me to get all of my appointments needed for insurance done within a week and a half. They submitted to insurance on 9/28/15 and I received a phone call phone my insurance stated that I was approved on 10/9/15. I am very blessed! Having it done this year will save me over $2,000! I will have to go through the holiday's unable to enjoy in the food, but getting healthy is way more important to me!

    Woohoo! Surgery November 17th

@@pyra28az Thank you for creating the page and for making it a secret group! I am not really sharing my journey with everyone. I just sent you a message with my name for you to add me.
  14. I am having surgery on 11/17 and we are supposed to be driving to our relatives 6 hours away for Thanksgiving on the 25th. Has anyone traveled after a week post-op? Am I pushing it, or do you think I will be fine? I plan on asking my Dr. at my appointment next week, but thought I would see if anyone else has traveled and was fine.
