  3. @@Solmar I'm following my surgeons diet plan. I can have 5 protein shakes a day or I can replace up to two shakes with Nutrifast soups. I have to drink at least 64 oz of water and can also have sugar free jello and popsicles.
  4. Thank you all! At least I know I'm not alone on these feelings. My stomach is all kinds of messed up right now. I just need to keep telling myself this is the best thing for me and my family! I want to have a healthy future with my family!
  5. I start my liquid diet tomorrow and I'm starting to freak out! I'm 5'8 and 261 pounds, my family keeps telling me I'm not that big and should reconsider. I have two small kids which I want to be healthy for, but also freak out because I don't want anything to go wrong with having two small kids. Please tell me this is normal and everyone goes through this and I will be fine.
  6. I am having my surgery the same date. Our stats are somewhat similar too. I'm 5'7 and HW is 268. Maybe we could be sleeve buddies lol I would love that! ????Can I buddy up with you both. I am the 16th. 38 yr old female, HW 265, current weight 250, 5'4". yes the more the merrier! I definitely need all the support I can get! ????

  9. @@Bloomer723 I really liked him when I had my initial appointment. I am glad to hear he has a good reputation. It's always so scary when you have surgery of any kind, so it's nice to hear good things about your doctor. No, I was lucky enough that my insurance just required a unsupervised 6 month diet within the past two years. I did that, I had my first appointment on 9/16/15 stated that I wanted to try to have the surgery before the end of the year. They ended up working with me to get all of my appointments needed for insurance done within a week and a half. They submitted to insurance on 9/28/15 and I received a phone call phone my insurance stated that I was approved on 10/9/15. I am very blessed! Having it done this year will save me over $2,000! I will have to go through the holiday's unable to enjoy in the food, but getting healthy is way more important to me!
  10. Thank you so much! Good luck to you on the revision!
  11. thank you so much! I was hoping this would be the case!
  12. @@pyra28az Thank you for creating the page and for making it a secret group! I am not really sharing my journey with everyone. I just sent you a message with my name for you to add me.
  13. I am having surgery on 11/17 and we are supposed to be driving to our relatives 6 hours away for Thanksgiving on the 25th. Has anyone traveled after a week post-op? Am I pushing it, or do you think I will be fine? I plan on asking my Dr. at my appointment next week, but thought I would see if anyone else has traveled and was fine.
  14. I totally agree, we should start are own!
  15. . Ya congrats! Would love to to stay in touch. Do you know if anyone started a closed Facebook page for November sleevers?
  16. Yes, I definitely think 100+lbs will help with my problems and your knee! Getting exited! Can't wait to get healthy!
  17. 11/17/15 is my date! Here is a little about me. I am 35 and 5'8, I am a mother of two toddlers and two teenage step kids. I have had back surgery and the added weight is making my back worse. I really don't want to have to go through back surgery again. My doctor thinks this will help with my back and my plantar fasciitis in my feet. I just want to be a healthy weight and be able to run with my kids! HW 265 CW 255 GW 155

  19. @@edodd Yay! Congrats! Would love to stay in touch as we start our new journey!
  20. Pre-op diet starts November 3rd! I know it will be hard but I cannot wait to be a healthy weight again!!!
  21. I finally got it scheduled, my surgery is the 17th of November! Scared and excited!
  22. Who has gone to UC Weight Loss and used Dr. Thompson? I wanted to go with Dr. Watkins but with his wait list there was a chance I wouldn't have the surgery until after the beginning of the year. I was trying to get the surgery before the beginning of the year since I have already reached my deductible. Please let me know your thoughts on Dr. Thompson if you have used him. I really liked him and was happy to hear he hasn't had any leaks yet!
  23. Thanks ladies! Hopefully I hear back from my surgeon next week! I know this is the best thing for me. Just nervous because it's actually happening now. I honestly cannot wait to be able to run around with my toddlers and actually keep up with them!
  24. Has this happened to anyone else? My insurance company called to tell me that my surgery was approved for October 30th! Which is awesome, however I haven't heard from my surgeon yet to even let me know of the surgery date! Of course now that I have been approved I am starting to freak out thinking about the what if's and being a mom of two young kids. Please calm me down, I'm in my 30's and and pretty healthy just heavy!
