I'm 8 weeks post op and as a new years resolution I wanted to make a better attempt in logging my meals. I have been doing a pretty good job and have been logging at the after cooked weight. I was thinking if I should be logging by the before cooked weight. It will boost my calories but also boost my Protein. Any idea which way is correct?

I got to be honest you look great and I would have thought you lost more,. I'm 8 weeks post op and down 53 lbs and don't look as good but I'm only 5'7", how tall are you if you don't mind my asking?

I weighted 361 on surgery days, I'm just about 4 weeks post on and down 40 lbs.

One of the few rules my doctor had, alway eat breakfast!!!

same here and same reasons I chose sleeve over bypass.

I was worried about long term malabsorption and Vitamin deficiencies with bypass, so I elected for the sleeve. My surgeon said I was a good candidate for either (my initial BMI was 41)

Don't compare your weight loss to anyone else. If you're following your plan, the weight will come off at your body's own pace.
Also, stalls happen and are just part of the process. Expect your first one as early as 3-6 weeks. This one especially is normal and inevitable. Stay the course, stay off the scale, don't get discouraged and let it pass

Definitely understand the second thoughts especially after the "failed" First attempt, but in reality seems to be a blessing in disguise. As for the second guessing because of the recent "looking good" perfectly understandable considering weeks of post-op dieting. But the reality is based on years of dieting by many of us is the weight will be gained back in short time frame and your be back where you started. I would stay on track but it's ultimately your decision and need to be comfortable with it.

My surgeon doesn't require one , but it appears many do.
