  1. Clear liquids today. Darn it, I didn't search for iso-pure clear Protein drinks ahead of time! Neither my grocery store nor the pharmacy had them so I guess it's just tea and Water for me today. I don't want to have any sugar like Popsicles because it'll make me starving! it's always easier for me to fast then to do anything moderate. ha ha but ouch the detox headache is severe. Already packed so not much to do but lounge anyway. Counting down the hours! By this time tomorrow I'll be recovering. Weeeeee!
  2. The day by day, play by play info is super helpful and reassuring!
  3. My surgery is Monday and I planned to return to my desk job the following Monday. I'm not telling anyone so being tired or leaving early will be a bit weird.
  4. I'm Monday too. Bag is packed, supplies in order, let's just do this!
  5. So exciting! Thank you all for being here with me! Seriously, I went to a couple of meetings and got turned off - but the success stories and encouragement here got me where I am today - at the crest of a wave of health! I'm in SoCal. I will be looking for your posts! Good luck - woohoo!
  6. How soon after surgery am I likely to be up driving, running short errands?
  7. So excited this journey is about to begin! This forum has been so encouraging. I love reading about your journey, tips and challenges. I'm imagining all the ways my life is about to change. I want to set up little rewards along the way other than the HUGE reward of health and beauty.
  8. Uh oh... I thought we started right off on premier protein and water. I was going to bring some to the hospital with me so I won't have to eat broth and Jell-O maybe I better rethink that.
  9. I love it when people post their issues, other people don't give them the validation then want and they erase it. JEEEZUS. As I just stated in the "Giving Up" thread. Some people just LOVE playing the consummate victim..... Yes, it made me question if she's mature enough to handle this whole process and journey. Taking responsibility for our own actions is a MAJOR part of success at anything, especially this!
  10. I thought we were staying away from carbs... I wasn't planning on having any of these things...
  11. If it's any consolation I live in California and I don't know one woman of any weight (young or old) who hasn't had a little something done...some, a whole lot of everything! So if you do end up with loose skin have a little nip tuck! It's not that big a deal anymore.
  12. I LOVE trader joes nonfat European style yogurt! Not sure the carb/protein count tho. I put a ton of turmeric powder and a little liquid stevia, sometimes some cinnamon since that stuff is good for inflammation in general...might be too spicy after surgery tho.
  13. Are you stationed in italy by chance? I had the same experience with women there! Anyway, I intend to just say I'm cutting portions and carbs. All true. Sadly I've yo-yo dieted enough that probably no one will even ask! Hahaha but THIS time I'll keep it off.
  14. I'm already starting to plan my plastic surgery! I'm in SoCal so looking for surgeons who specialize in post weight loss surgery.
  15. I'd like a buddy too. I'm doing this all alone. Not even telling anyone. So yeah, I'm a little nervous. My date is 10/26/15. Very excited to just get on with it too. I wasn't required to do a preop diet. I did try it a few times but I keep cheating! I'm one week before surgery so I'm trying again tomorrow. wish me luck. I'm doing a sleeve - did I post in the wrong spot?
  16. I haven't been too worried about trying to detox from caffeine or carbs or anything because I figure after surgery I will be on pain pills for couple of days and sleeping and detoxing then and by the time I'm home there's no possible way I could eat something bad that early anyway so I think I'll be fine. Post surgery I was really kind of wanting to do a whole month of shakes just to blow off as much weight as I can and take advantage of that post surgery ease. is that a bad idea if I get all my Protein and Water in?
  17. I wish it helped! It never did before all the times I gained! And boy is that depressing having to buy the bigger clothes AGAIN because you can't fit into anything. it's much more fun to buy smaller sizes on the way down! With surgery no more yo- yo dieting!!!! Yay!
  18. Yes, I was wondering how easy (or not!) it is to fake it. I'll want to start dating again soon and not sure how to handle the dinner date segment. How funny, I've always been proud to be the kind of girl who eats a steak and not picks at two leaves of a salad ha ha. guess I am that girl now.
  19. Oh my goodness, I don't think I realized that my terrible foot pain had to do with my weight until reading all of your comments! my surgery's in a week. hallelujah! I may get rid of all my foot pain too!!!
  20. I'm not required to do it but I wanted to get started pre surgery but it is sooo hard to stick to! That's why I need this surgery in the first place!! I can't use phentermine to kick start it either since I'll have anesthesia Ina week. Grrrrr
