  1. I am addicted to this girdle! I wish they gave me two because I didn't really like it when I had to put mine in the wash. I didn't want to dry it because I thought it would kind a ruin it but I had to because I wanted to get it back faster.
  2. I bought some - the Unjury kind. I'll put that in something. Thanks! Good idea.
  3. Wow. You are brave. I'd be afraid I'd give birth to the rest of my lil bitty stomach on that tea! Is there such a thing as diarrhea AND constipation. I havent gone for real yet (day 5 post surgery) just toots and a bit of diarrhea. Should I be expecting a delivery soon?
  4. I was completely out of it but it was some strange looking perfect tiny little squares of ice - didn't hallucinate this haha. I believed her that maybe there's something funky that she was using just keep my Water bottle cold all day or something but it did melt so it seemed like ice to me. She was weird anyway. Trying to remember some of the other things she told me that made me go "huh?" Thanks so much y'all. I know everything's processed these days and has added ingredients and I thought holy moly ice too?
  5. Drinking hot Water with lemon and Gas-X worked for me. Have you had a bowel movement yet? Smooth Move Peppermint tea can help there too. Smooth move tea?!? Yikes! That stuff was strong before surgery. Seems way too much 4 days post op ( me too).
  6. When I was in the hospital I reached for some ice to put in my water because it felt so good cold and the nurse said no no there's gas in the ice and that's not a good idea obviously because it can swell your stomach. So now I'm home and I wanted to put ice in my water. I'm not going to chew on the ice but is a bag of ice from the grocery store gassy? I had never heard that before. I don't want to make ice at home unless I have to. Or skip altogether.
  7. I was all organic prior - I know - how do you get fat on all organic? I've been having bad headaches since surgery and I bet it's from processed protein drinks soups and aspartame which is in everything (((
  8. I can't find sugar free. These are " no sugar added", basically all fruit juice. I'm just so afraid of getting into bad habits. This is my last chance!
  9. How many carbs are allowed right after surgery? I've had about four Popsicles today and I haven't been able to find the no carb ones. these have about seven carbs each so that's 28 for the day but there surely must be a limit. Thanks.
  10. Dang! What a cute figure you have! Great job!
  11. Weighed in at 213 then 217 after surgery. Today is day 4, I guess, and am 210.
  12. Wait for the call back there is no need to rush.Thank you so much!
  13. How many days after surgery did you guys start on the chewable vitamins? I'm day 2 and holding off. What do you think?
  14. I thought I had heard of people suddenly becoming fertile after sleeving not the other way around. I was kind of expecting a surge of hormones. I had taken different hormones in the past and my doctor said to give the sleeve a chance before I start supplementing again and not just because of the blood clot thing.
  15. On what day do you start on these vitamins? I'm day 2 or 3 and thought that might be a bit much. My nut hasn't called me back yet about it.
  16. I'm just on day 3 - I think - surgery was Monday, today's wed. Is that day 2? Oh, maybe I'm being impatient. I know I'm swollen and sore from surgery. I gained 4 lbs I think (I was so out of it the first few days). Today I was down 1 from pre surgery. I'm a bit tired but b o r e d! I'm getting I think all my Water in and I had a little Jell-O and some premier Protein shake and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth that was actually really good and soothing. The only Popsicles I could find said "no added sugar" so basically that was a bunch of fruit juice which I don't think is a very good choice for me with my sugar problems, sugar addiction, I should say so I only had a couple. I'm walking around but not at the gym or anything like that. I was thinking about walking I don't know maybe a quarter-mile to the grocery store today but I didn't make it. just wondering what everyone else's goals and landmarks were for the first few days or weeks. thanks!!!
  17. How tight did you wear it? It feels nice snug and tight. I don't want to cut off blood flow though haha.
  18. I was sleeved on the 26th so I'm like two or three days out I'm not sure. I feel pretty good and I've gotten up and done laundry and showered and sip sip sipping but I am resting a lot. I hope that's OK. Getting a little bored but not really feeling like talking to people or doing anything complicated.
  19. Fruit is a slippery slope for me. Once I get that charge of sugar all bets are off and it's cake time. I plan on avoiding it.
  20. I'm not even sure why they put it on us but I was thinking it was a little bit of a security blanket. I love the support feeling.
  21. Safe and sound at home. No complications or pain just couldn't sleep at the hospital from all that waking me up every two hours.
  22. I can totally understand the thinking of "should I lose 5 more pounds?"...having yo-yo'd my whole life I think if I don't lose it now while I'm on a roll I'll be on my way up again. I've always had to plan for gaining as opposed to some thin people who are their same weight throughout life. Maybe it will just take some getting used to being thin and that whenever I do want to lose I know how now.
  23. At one of the multitude of diet places I went over the years in my yo-yoing I remembered, I think it was Lindora, had what they called a "skinny mirror" and every time you got on the scale it was a distorted mirror that made you look thin so you could visualize you future. I think that was a really clever idea to start to see and think of yourself as thin and let your subconscious help you lose weight. Somebody should make a $20 version of a full length mirror that is slightly distorted for dieters. I think that would be a big seller.
  24. Thats what I was thinking it would be like. That's why I didn't worry about detoxing from coffee ahead of time because I figure I'm just going to sleep for a few days and it'll be out of my system while I'm recovering.
  25. I hadn't heard of adding fiber after surgery. That's a good idea.
