Hello! It's me again.  I had the gastric sleeve in Oct. 2015.  My weight loss was 197 lbs before the sleeve, and I got down to 158 lbs within 6 months.  I held steady for another 6 months.  But that's when the stall and gradual weight gain began.  When folks on here say you get 12 months to depend on the WLS, believe them.
I didn't do too badly.  Weight has held between 160-170 for the past year.  But I can feel that is about to fall through.  And on top of that, I have severe GERD, which is a common side effect of the sleeve.  Anti-acids were not working.  The only way to cure my GERD is through bypass.  So, my Dr. submitted a request for revision by way of Gastric Bypass to my insurance company.  At 170lbs, I absolutely did NOT think insurance would approve it.  Especially since insurance did not cover the Gastric Sleeve.  (I was half self-pay/half hiatal hernia repair.)
So, here I am again.  About to rejoin the journey.  Glad to see everyone again.
