  1. I have no instructions about weighing and measuring - only eat all your protein and water! That's why I'm asking. They act like the sleeve will restrict but for me it doesn't. No guidance in portions and since I'm in no way uncomfortable how am I supposed to know?
  2. Yes all eaten pretty much in same meal. I had heard people who said they could only eat one egg. I could probably eat four or five gradually I'm not quite sure why.
  3. Is it a good idea to watch fat grams? I'm 6 Wks out and mostly low fat everything but it seems like the low-fat stuff has more carbs so I was thinking it might be better to go with higher fat low-carb when making choices. what do you think?
  4. Oct 26. Feeling pretty normal now. Next week is 6 weeks and time for normal food. A little nervous. How're all you October sleevers doing?
  5. I though my I'd lose way faster than the chart because I always have (even though I always gained it back pre surgery). I still don't get why this goes so slowly unless it's just the healing factor changes metabolism. Anyway, just so you know this sad chart seems to be pretty accurate for me. Nice to be able to predict something. But, boy can I eat. 2 fried eggs just like a normal person, a couple mozzarella sticks (string cheese thingies), and 4 Popsicles. No problem. It's all on my program. And yes, I'm on purées so that ease could change. Yesterday in 2 days I ate a log of fresh soft mozzarella. Delish! But seems like a lot of food. I eat turkey chili - 1/2 can for a meal. Yum. I'm 6 weeks out in Monday. Is this ok?
  6. Are you just wanting people to read your blog? Too much to weed through for tummy tuck pics. I wanted to see but too much work.
  7. Why no liquids with food? I forgot. I'm only on purées but it seems like it all works better with liquid. I'd never get my Water in if I took 3 hours out of the day for eating! When I used to do holistic stuff the reasoning was that liquids dilute the digestive enzymes. I fact I took digestive enzyme supplements. I've never heard anyone taking them apres surgery. Would that be a bad or good idea?
  8. Got my first post op compliment today! Woohoo. " Your FACE looks thinner." Really? 5 weeks into this and almost 25 lbs down with only 60 more to lose and that's it? Well, it's something! It's so weird how this all works. I'm happy though... On my way to a new life!
  9. I was walking at the hospital then walking around my neighborhood building up to about 1 1/2-2 miles a day by 4 weeks then cleared for elliptical at the gym. I'll wait for 6 weeks to be cleared for unlimited and add weights to my regime.
  10. I felt great. Did 45 minutes on elliptical...then got cocky and did a bunch of crunches and a few arm machines with lighter weights (40 lbs) and now tummy is hurting. Feels like it irritated my inside incisions. What can I do now? I'm just resting with some Tylenol. Ughhhh do you think I hurt myself? I'm approved to jump horses and unrestricted excessive at 6 wks. I wasn't expecting to get so carried away today.
  11. I was about 217 surgery day 10/26. Today 196. I walk every morning 2 mi. Seriously I thought I'd lose way faster - I always did before. I had a week and a half stall but am losing again. I watch my carbs... I'll just see what happens. It hasn't been too hard so I really can't complain. But at this rate it will take me longer than expected to lose the 60 more.
  12. I go through it so fast - I don;t find it particularly cheap at all! Is it available in BULK? Like for nursing homes or something? I would buy a few pounds of the chicken soup and the unflavored!
  13. I'm 3 1/2 weeks post if but will be in puréed stage for another couple weeks.
  14. Keep going...there are great ideas. I was a lil afraid of cheese and anything too greasy not sure why. I'm in love with fat free turkey chili!
  15. I love the taste of turmeric. I put it in everything. Definitely helps with inflammation.
  16. It's so weird...I told NO ONE and only took a week off work. Since I wear that stomach brace wrap thingy you can't even tell that I've lost weight. It's been 3 weeks and no ones said a thing. By the time the weight loss shows no one will put the two together. I just said I was walking more.
  17. So everybody gets dry skin? I thought it was the suddenly cold weather. I never needed a moisturizer but I sure do now.
  18. Refried Beans don't cause gas? I bought some today - I'm 3 weeks out today - but too scared to eat them yet. Had cottage cheese and also some instant pudding made with nonfat Fairlife milk and 1 1/2 scoops of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury unflavored Protein powder ( for the whole box). Pretty boring dinner - basically like a thicker version of shakes.
  19. I just know that the first month is the easiest so I wanted to take full advantage of not being able to eat solids etc.
  20. But I didn't diet preop. I actually gained from my food funerals. A few of that is clothes and shoes at the dr Ofc.
  21. I'm just concerned that I'm already losing slowly in the very easiest portion of this - the first 3 weeks. I hear of people not even looking at carbs. Maybe I'll trim mine to like 20. I'm just very curious why this is the first time in my life I haven't lost very fast when I'm eating pretty much the same thing as I did back in the yo-yo diet days...so...confusing.
  22. I was sleeved October 26 and I'm still in the liquid phase. I get up and walk a mile every morning. how in the heck can I be losing weight so slowly? Yes, I'm low BMI but I've lost weight easily in the past. In the past when I yo-yo dieted and trust me, I've done every diet there is, in the first three weeks for sure I would lose a pound a day - 21 pounds, no problem. this is very frustrating! I drink three or four premium shakes a day and I think I get all my Water in and also alternate with powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup. I get it that has a little bit of salt but come on. I added a couple organic Soups with 15g of carbs per serving and I'll have one serving with unflavored Protein. That's insane if that's causing my stall but seriously what is happening here? I'm not even at three weeks yet.
  23. I'm almost 3 weeks out and no one knows! It was way easier than I thought. Even with all my shakes in the office fridge people just no one even notices what I'm eating and it's been problem free. I'm so so glad I didn't tell anyone especially since the weight is coming off a lot slower than expected.
  24. Just found it - Fairlife! Heard soooo many good things about it. I'm getting ready to start purées - so happy.
  25. I heard of a brand of milk on here that I wanted to try but cannot remember the brand. It was a very popular fat free lactose free brand. Thanks!
