Up 2 lbs?!
Don't forget about your menstrual cycle. With our hormones all afflux that time of the month can be especially puffy, but afterwards you can drop super quick so keep that in mind.

Nervous -- How about some stories on how much better you feel?
I had totally forgotten how bad my feet used to hurt!!! I had to plan ahead depending upon how much walking would e required if I could go or not. I thought it was from years of ballet that had ruined my feet. Guess what? Lose the weight, no more foot pain and I love to walk!

Back to basics month 9
Wow how easy it is to slip back into bad habits! I've lost about 50 lbs with 20-30 to go but I'm looking pretty good and fitting into old clothes so I guess I started to get lazy or cocky...or both. Started scrimping on the exercise and adding carbs and all day grazing. Not gaining (thank you Lord!) but stopped losing months ago. That all day snacking at my desk on breadsticks no less turns out to be due to not eating a proper meal! Today I went to lunch and ordered half a sandwich without the bread and I was stuffed and couldn't eat for hours. Protein FIRST - the golden rule - I'd simply forgotten! My sleeve works great when I follow the directions! Hardly a ground breaking revelation but it was enough to turn me back around and get back on the program and plan ahead. And stop buying carby Snacks that I shouldn't have near me anyway. Well that felt good to say! Not sure anyone else is in the same boat but maybe it will encourage someone.

Did anyone not experience hair loss?
6 months out no hair loss. I'm low BMI and have only lost 45 pounds in that time so maybe it's losing so slowly that has an upside. Who knew?

2 months after surgery talking divorce
I'm 6 months out and totally forgot about the hormone dump. I've alienated so many friends and colleagues going through this. I forgot I used to be more reasonable.

Hair loss!
I'm at 6 months with no hair loss. Low BMI - only lost 45 lbs so far but it's thrilling. I put these drops in my Water every day - heard this from a WLS veteran who claimed it worked for her 100 lb loss with only slight hair loss. Worth a try. Cheap too.

Anyone keep the surgery under wraps?
I'm VERY pleased that I have told no one! I got an Uber home from the hospital! I've met 2 people randomly who had the surgery and kept in touch and they are a good support network. All in all the site was really all I needed. Having negative or snarky comments from people I can't get away from, for example people I work with or something like that or family, who needs it?

Good Instagram people to follow
Can you recommend some good Instagram accounts to follow that post a lot of WLS success, encouragement and tips? The ones I'm following are total cheaters that post crappy food all the time! What is wrong with these people? Why post your cheats!!! It's very sabotaging to their followers. Thanks!!

Lost my motivation and discipline at 4 months out?!?!
Omg!!! I just counted the weeks and I'm 5 months out (not 4) with almost a 2 month stall. ((( Pep talk, please!

Lost my motivation and discipline at 4 months out?!?!
Help! I've been cheating for 2 weeks! Having a little carb fest over here and slacking on exercising. Thank goodness it's only translated to gaining a pound or two SO FAR but I need to get back on track! I'm wasting my honeymoon phase and I'm only half way there! I had the best luck in the past with Hcg since you lose so quickly and it kept me so motivated. This sleeve is so boringly, painfully slow that I've lost my momentum. You're my support group since I didn't tell anyone - good thing since I don't wanna hear the " you got that radical surgery for only 35 pounds?!?!" (Since that's all I've lost so far) I needed to 'fess up so I'm doing it here. Maybe it's time for a 5 day pouch test thingy... Thanks for being here ya'all.

Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge
Darn. Was shooting for 172 but weighed 180 this morning. Long, long stall. There are other things I'd rather be embracing than a stall on this Valentine's Day!

Low BMI slow losing encouragement thread
This is the Low BMI slow losing encouragement thread. Here I am yet again at a month long stall. Almost 4 months out and down 35 lbs. I'm doing everything right and getting frustrated. I lost weight lots of times in the past and yes I couldn't keep it off but why is this time so much slower. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm excited to get this weight off and start my new life!!! Comparing with low Bmi'ers is always reassuring.

Vitamins
i am LOVING the patches! Not sure if they work or not but LOVE not swallowing any more pills than I have to!
-
Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge
Was 181 in Monday. Not likely to make 172 goal by Sunday
-
Vitamins, Vitamins, and more Vitamins
I'm loving the vitamin patches since even 4 Mos post surgery I hate swallowing pills. This cuts down the number by a lot.

How much weight did you lose the first 4months after surgery?
In one week will be my 4 mo anniversary and I've lost 34. Very slow going but I started rather low BMI. 40 more to go.

Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge
Didn't realize we had to post every Monday. When I wake up I'll post. Not going to make my challenge of 172 with this stall I'll be lucky to be 178. Gained 2 this week for no apparent reason. Grrrrrrr....

Telling people
Most of us have yoyo dieted our whole lives. I tell people, "Oh I've lost this weight so many times, it's keeping it off that's the hard part." (All true.) They get distracted and on to the next subject. Works every time.

Mardi Gras and Lent - good excuse to give up something you've been using for a cheat?
I've tried to give up certain things for all of Lent and end up failing. I like the idea of all Fridays and Ash Wednesday . I can do that.
