Thanks all for the comments, I know I need a surgeon if this continues. It is not so easy for me we don't get the aftercare you guys get in the USA and my Doctor is a six hour drive away so I thought someone who had the same experience as me might be able to give comfort. Good news was I managed to keep half a tin a chicken Soup down last night and I am working my way through Vitamin drink this morning. Praying it will get better. Thanks again for your kindness in responding.

Kaishek reacted to OneDollarBill in One year post op - Reached goal
I believe I can officially post in here and call my journey a success. I know that one year is a small insignificant amount of time in the grand scope of things. .
The whole process was a whirlwind for me. I contacted Dr Owen's office upon referral from a friend on 2/8/15. Upon talking to the front office they make me aware of pending insurance changes. At the time my insurance didn't require a 6mo monitored diet. Therefore if I wanted to get this done I had to have my surgery before March 15th. This didn't leave much time. However Dr Owens staff is so well versed in the insurance game I was approved a few days later. Reflecting on it now it was probably good that I didn't have much time to second guess myself. It was truly a "crap or get off the pot" moment.
Insurance approved my surgery was set on Mach 11, 2015
I snapped this picture in my pre-opp weight of 380lbs
liquid only phase pre-op to me was the worse part of this whole thing. Being 380lbs and eating like I was the 4 or 5 shakes a day just sucked. I've confessed on here that a few times during that 2 week diet I failed with the thinking "Oh I will never get to have this again". One night I left the house to go to Target and went through a McDonald's drive-thru. I then sat in the Target parking lot devouring a lot of bad food items. I faltered, but I picked myself up and carried on. The day of surgery I had lost 20lbs
Physical recovery for me went easy. I think I took one pain killer the day I came home. I got up and started moving the second day I was home. I just walked around my block over and over and over again. The surgery was Wednesday and I was back at work on Monday. My Dr. keeps his patients on a post-op liquid phase for another 3 to 4 weeks. This was the 2nd hardest thing. I found myself getting angry because I just wanted to chew something. I think that first scrambled egg I had was best thing ever. The mental game is REAL. Physically after surgery you are given the tool you need to succeed. What surgery doesn't do it fix the mental side of the house. It took a few weeks for the cravings and the "why did I do this" stuff to work it self out. I'm not going to diary out the other 10 to 11 months, but I am happy that I did go though with the surgery. I have accomplished things I would have never attempted to do. Namely running 4 different 5K races and most recently my first 10K. So here it is 1 year and 3 days later and I have lost 165lbs. I am definitely a new man.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced changes in their countenance since surgery. Following my Sleeve surgery I think I'm doing great. It is very exhilarating and I am so grateful for this tool and all that it is doing for me, BUT, without the comfort of the foods I used to love there for me as I deal with life;s stresses..I have found myself, more tired and I definitely have a shorter fuse. I'm way more irritable than usual, and I am especially disappointed with myself when I am not as patient as I could be with my little ones I'm learning new coping mechanisms, such as exercising (which is the best mood lifter ever), but it's not an instant cure that I can just take. It makes perfect sense when I think about all that my body is going through and the adjustment not just in what I eat, but that entire relationship with food that has now been minimized from BFF for all occasions to daily sustenance. I religiously work out for at least 45mins daily and religiously take all my Vitamins. I think I'm doing okay with Protein but getting enough Water remains a challenge. Anyhow...just reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced mood changes and how you coup with them!

I had a band for 14 years and developed heartburn, GERD, gastritis, esophagitis, and a hiatal hernia because of it. Converted to sleeve and had a hernia repair. The doctor kept me on GERD meds for 1 month after surgery and I have not needed it since. NO heartburn or GERD since surgery....

I was sleeved together with gallbladder and gallstones removal on 12/21/2015 had complications and had a stent put in, not a leak but a blockage. Truthfully, it has not been a bad journey, but I am usually quite tough. I kept reading and reading on this forum, and as much as I tried to believe I was getting better and better (and I suppose I was) I just kept asking myself "when will I feel like the old me?" "when can eat without all this going on in my tummy?" Folks, yesterday the stent came out, and today it happened. I am hungry, I feel great, I can drink Water. Thank you Lord, and thank you to this forum for all the support I have received. Hang in there, it will happen for those of you on this journey. I am seven weeks and two days since operation.

I had my 1 month check-up today & I can't believe I've lost 34lbs! I'm so incredibly grateful!!! I'm feeling hopeful & empowered. Some days it seems slow, but I keep telling myself that it took a while to get this weight on & it's going to take a while for it to come off.

Today marks 3 months since I was re-born into this brave new world! And since that day, I cannot even begin to enumerate the exponential feelings of wellness and hopefulness that have begun to saturate my life. My goodness, I knew I needed help, but I had no idea how much of an addict to food I really was, and how every aspect of my life was somehow either tied around food, or mitigated by food, most of the time in negative nonsensical self-harming ways!
Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined, or even supposed in my defeated mind, that I could come so far in so little time! But here I stand, 3 months later, half way there, 54lb’s lighter, working out north of 1 hour every day (no excuses and I love it, and actually look forward to it!), no longer prediabetic, experiencing wellness, dancing around with my kiddos with giddy abandonment, full of energy, wanting to take pictures again, with a renewed sense of self-worth, with a focused mind, doing a double take at that lady in the mirror, being more in control and feeling so positive about most of my food choices. Friends, there is a brand new energy that I oscillate with these days, and there is an inner joy about me that I forgot I was even capable of experiencing.
I have spent today with a heart full of gratitude to God, I think that is most of what I feel today. Grateful that I have been rescued from what was not only a miserable, but a horribly unhealthy, sunken life. That I came through surgery and could see the faces of my kiddos again! For the amazing friendships I have made along the way on Bariatric Pals, without whom this journey would have been an infinitely lonelier one. You know who you are…thank you!!!
All this…and I’m only half way there!!! I’m more motivated and pumped than ever before. So I wanted to share this with you, thank you all for your love, encourage you in your journey (especially if you were like me, so torn about the decision to do or not to do!) and invite you to let me know where you are in your journey, your thoughts and laments around 3 months, or before or after! Just a collective pause to savor the goodness J
    Sending you Sunshine!

ohh heck yes I have had this happen and it sucks.. I was good with scrambled eggs on week 5 and then week 6 or 7 my sleeve said no thank you and sent it back up. the only thing that has never come back up is baked chicken, yogurt and cheese, everything else is suspect. I just figured its part of the process, I don't use my nausea pills as much which is good, and i have learned to taste things and wait 5min now before taking another bite.

Look on Pinterest for ideas! Just search bariatric diets or soft foods.
I did hear people can have issues with hard boiled eggs! Especially if they are eating them plain! Good luck, & congrats!

I am almost 5 months out from having my sleeve and have lost 83pounds.
I was telling this to a friend and she mentioned that she guessed that was about what my sporty younger daughter ( age 9)weighs.
So I weighed her. She is 81 pounds.
Wow I have lost an entire small person.
I tried carrying her for a few minutes yesterday and was exhausted. No wonder I was always tired and had no energy.
No wonder my knees and ankles ached.
My life has changed immeasurably, and it's only going to get better. I'm even starting to suspect that I , too, have collar bones!
83 pounds gone. 51 to go.

Sigh, sadly yes. I am 6 weeks out and I'm having chicken issues. Just can't stomach the stuff anymore and I could a week or two ago. My stomach and tastes have completely shifted since the surgery, fortunately for the better. Maybe try the eggs again in a week or two and see if it's just a phase your belly is going through.
