  1. I had my surgery just a few days before you had yours, August 21. When we were going through supplements to take I was told that the gummy vitamins were not good and to try chewables instead, Flintstones, etc. 1/2 a Flintstones vitamin is the correct dosage for children and a full vitamin is appropriate for an adult. If you're having trouble with the protein shakes and getting liquids in, try sugar free popsicles, they don't take up as much room in the stomach and they are very soothing to the throat on the way down.

The regular protein shakes did not taste great so what Istarted doing was mixing the protein into a carnation breakfast shake, which tasted much more appealing. I would mix in 1/2 a scoop of the ensure chocolate protein powder with 1 8oz sugar free chocolate carnation and that brought the protein up to 20 g per shake so I was having an easier time hitting my numbers.

With your medicines I would suggest trying to space them out throughout the day. I am still trying to drink water/crystal lite every other hour, at each of these times maybe you could take a different medicine, planning which ones need to be taken at the start of the day and which ones need to be taken before bed.

Don't ever feel like you are alone, everyone is struggling in one way or another, as long as you keep working at it you'll get there and be thankful that you did.

I know, I know, the Pollyanna attitude can be a bit much, but I'm trying, lol.
