  1. I was told in the beginning to just sip throughout the day
  2. Like I said this site is great, and I'm not talking about people asking basic questions before their surgery, that is what i would consider research. I mean more of the people who ask the basic things AFTER they already had surgery
  3. I get appetizers or soups/chili or split a meal with someone. If I don't finish it, I take it with me
  4. Hang in there, you can do it. Just keep thinking about the end goal. The pre op diet SUCKS since you still feel hungry. But once you have surgery you won't be hungry and you will be so happy you stuck it out best of luck, YOU CAN DO IT
  5. I apologize in advance if I'm going to offend anyone first of all I want to say this place is awesome, a great resource of support and personal experiences But I am seeing posts here that kind of confuse me. I understand each doctor is different and some are more thorough than others. But I don't understand when I see posts that ask such basic post op questions like how much Water or Protein they should be having, or specifically what they should be eating. I think it's great that people can come here and ask questions and see what other people are going through. But there are things that you should be getting from your doctor or nutritionist, not an online message board I wonder if it's that some people are going into surgery not having done much research, or is it that some doctors or nutritionists are not educating people well. My team was so amazing, I had so much information given to me that by the time I had my sleeve I felt like I could be a nutritionist myself
  6. your nutritionist should tell you how much you should be at
  7. it's normal to be nervous, it is surgery after all. But keep focusing on the the positives that will come from it. how much weight you will loose, how much better you will feel, how much better you will look YOU CAN DO IT!!!
  8. well I haven't had a c section but I have had the sleeve. I can only imagine that the c section would be a lot worse, it's a bigger incision, they stretch and pull it open and pull a human being out of it. The sleeve only gives you a couple small punctures that usually don't even need stitches (mine didn't).
  9. my plan doesn't mention calories and I'm not counting them. I focus on fluid and protien
  10. I don't think they should be pushing you...what are they making you eat? If you feel full then you should speak up and not eat, you need to heal
  11. This is what I do. I still go out, i still eat burgers and pizza but in moderation. I have lost 175 lbs
  12. I would imagine she had some other issue that contributed to her passing
  13. What do you need help with? A strawberry won't kill you but try your hardest to stick to the doctor's rules. They are there for a reason
  14. it's best to follow your doctor's rules. They are there for a reason. Your stomach was just cut and stapled, don't rush the healing
  15. I think you can still have alcohol if you want, but in moderation. I drink what I want, beer, wine, etc. But there are always alternatives to drinking. Not having some alcohol is not the end of the world. What is more important to you, healthy weight loss, or one night of drinking?
  16. nobody can really say how you will feel. Everyone's recovery is different. At two weeks I was on soft foods and felt ok but had zero energy.
  17. This is something you should talk to your surgeon about. It is different for everyone. Not really sure what you mean by pressure from eating. If you feel pressure you've had too much
  18. I don't think anyone should take diet pills. They do more harm than good. But if you are not sure about something then ask your doctor
  19. I like string cheese, or those round baby bell cheeses. Sometimes if I have a sweet craving I'll have a few bites of a chocolate protein bar. Nuts are a good snack too, or beef/turkey jerky
  20. I had pizza for dinner tonight. I ate as much as I wanted which ended up being abou 3/4 of a slice. If I want pasta I have some pasta
  21. It's notthe end of the world. Just wait a bit and see how you feels. And you may indeed throw up. That is bound to happen on occasion. I am 8 months post op and still throw up once in a while
  22. The only pain I had was in the incision sites. I would imagine a csection hurst a lot more as that is a much bigger incision
  23. The sleeve is very long term...permanent. They are removing most of yout stomach. That is very irreversible. Yes some people regain. Some people regain with lap band and some people regain with bypass. Whether or not you regain is ENTIRELY up to you
  24. Hunger is mostly head hunger and that is thr hardest battle
