    Scary noises

LOL it definately wasn't my sleeve talking. I know very well what that sounds like and this was nothing like it. Honestly my initian reaction was that it was a person screaming and that the Purge had begun

how much weight to lose in a week

Any loss is good My first month or two months I was loosing about a pound a day. Now 10 months out I'm averaging about 2 lbs a week
  4. Look over the plan they gave you and see what you are allowed to eat. The preop diet is hard but it is important to stick to it

"This was the best thing I ever did"

Having my sleeve truly was the best thing I have evee done. I feel good, i look good, I'm not worried about not living to 40. I had ZERO complications and practically no pain. I would do this again in a heartbeat

    cheat!

Be really careful. You are still healing and you don't want to damage your staple line. I remember missi g the chewing sensation. If you have a Sonic near you try to get just a cup of crushed ice from them. It has a really good texture and you can chew it up

    Freaking out

This is major life changing surgery. I'd be worried if someone wasn't nervous. Stick to your plan and you will do well. Good luck!

    Best Tasting Protein Shake

I have had a very hard time finding shakes that I could drink. i have recently discovered this combination that tastes amazing. I mix a bottle of carnation chocolate high protein instant breakfast (15g of protein) with a scoop of chocolate premiere protein and some ice cubes or frozen bananas. Very good and chocolatey
  11. If you are confused then call them and ask. You should know how many oz you should eat and you should know what to eat. If they don't tell you then it is your responsibility to find out. Get them to give you a concrete list of what to eat, when, and a sample menu

My Big Fat Fabulous Life 2016 Season

She talks about being fat and healthy. I don't really think that's possible
  13. Define sick. You are having major surgery, your stomach is being cut, there are holes cut through your abdominal wall....so there will be discomfort. To this day I occasionally get nauseated or vomit. Most people do have some hair loss but you can help that with Protein and Vitamins. I had minimal hair loss. But honestly the weight Ive lost would definately be worth some hair loss

    Having a baby?

Pregnancy weight is temporary. If you eat healthy you shouldnt gain that much weight.
  15. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Stick with your protein and water and the fat will come off
  16. Nobody here attacked. People are expressing concern for someone who seems to have made a very bad choice. Getring weight loss surgery is not something to be taken lightly. If you are months out and you cheat it's not as bad. But if you eat solid food so soon, before you are healed its not just making an unhealthy food choice, it's possibly causing severe damage and complication

    Shakes Tomorrow....

My main tip is that it is going to suck. Be ready for that. You will be hungry and crave food. But stick to it. The end results are so worth it. Good luck!!!

    5 weeks post op

In my opinion if you think you can stop after a few spoonfuls thrn go for it. Also try a yonanas machine. I love mine
  19. Haha i mostly post from my phone so to me everybody's pic is a tiny blob
  20. My initial thoughts are 1, why would you be eating pizza so soon and 2, why wouls you even attempt to eat a whole slice. Sorry if that sounds rude or mean... I can't say if it's normal. Only your doctor knows how big they made your sleeve. What I can say is that at almost a year post op I don't know if I could eat a whole slice because I have never attempted to. I have had pizza a few times since surgery and each time I cut a piece off a slice, a little less than half, and that's all I eat. Maybe a bite or two of salad with it If you are concerned then the best thing to do is to tak to your surgeon
  21. The thing I'm really looking forward to is my weight not being the only thing people talk to me about. Since Ive lost weight the conversations have gone from you need to loose weight to are you still loosing weight? Keep loosing...can you eat that...keep loosing...can you eat that I'm going through a divorce, looking for a job, living with my parents, been super depressed....but the only thing people can talk to me is my weight
  22. This is going to sound rude but it scares me when I see people ask such basic question as how long rhe liquid diet will be. If you are two weeks before surgery you should know how long each stage will be, what your water intake goals are and what your protein goals are. If you don't know this then you need to go back to your nutritionist and get clear instructions and examples of what you can consume at each stage. Everybody gets different instructions so you really need to work with your team to learn your rules

    Death

I think if there was a voluntary surgey where 1 in every 50 people died no surgeon would ever do it. My surgeon has done several hundred sleeves. If one out of every 50 of her patients died I think she might have lost her licence.

    Very helpful advice needed!

I don't have anything that I wish I knew before. i was very prepared. I think that may be why i was successful. I did tons of research. i had a concrete meal plan for each stage post op and I had terrific support from my family

    Having Doubts

The thing is I'm sure we have all had weight loss success before. We've all been on diets that worked for a time but then we gain it all back. I known that i have had many times where I would drop 50lbs....but a few months later i gain it back and then some. Do yu truly think thst you can make a lifelong change and stik to it without the assistance of the surgery? I would say go to your consultation and talk to them. If it's your first visit you're likely not getting a date right away. Go to a couple of appontmenta. Set a date if they give you one. You can always cancel it later
