  1. Pain in the left side is normal. My surgeon said they do the majority of the work on that side and that's where the stapler is inserted. It does to away.
  2. I am 5 month post op and am down 89 lbs. I am wondering what everyone is doing or did at this point as far as exercise.I feel like I should be losing more at this point. Just want to gage where everyone else is at
  3. Could be the mayo in the chicken salad. Mayo still bothers me noe, I know after my surgery it anything with mayo made me sick

  8. What types of food is everyone eating post op? I need to mix up my diet. I'm 3 months out and mainly eat yogurt, granola, protein bars, meat,cheese,and veggies
  9. For me it's hard to mistake. My chest/throat gets really tight almost painful. If I overdue it I will hiccup.
  10. It'll go down! That happened to me too. My weight went up 5 lbs and then finally I lost 10 lbs in 2 days.
  11. Is there anything you can do to get over a stall? What is the longest you have been at a stall? I have read increasing your protein and fluids can help...
  12. My stomach hates plain water at any temp. I have to drink diet teas, flavored water, powerade zero...etc
  13. I had RNY on September 28th, I have not been hungry since the day before my surgery. I was told to eat 3 times a day even if it's a bite or two. There are many times I eat and I just feel turned off by the off, but I have to force myself to eat,

  15. I found a heating pad to really help with the gas pains. I put it across my stomach.
  16. It'll happen. Just try and relax. I didn't hear back for approval until 2 days prior to my surgery date.
  17. @@anaxila I have some. Much better than the shakes. Got my through that phase at least
  18. I just got some of the isopure drinks. Not bad. They have 40g of protein in them
  19. I can't have bananas until next week unfortunately
  20. See, I don't want to go out and buy anymore protein shakes. I only have a few more days on them and then my surgeon wants me to only eat solid food to get my protein in. I was thinking of trying the isopure drinks at gnc
  21. Does anyone have any suggestions on other ways to get in protein? I have only been able to drink 1 or 2 sips lately. Its a brand and flavor I like. I used to love them, but now they repulse me. I'm two weeks post op. I can eat things like yogurt, applesauce,mashed potatoes, and oatmeal
  22. @@larac05 I hear you! I can start mashed potatoes, oatmeal, yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, and cottage cheese today. I'm nervous but hopefully it goes well
  23. @@larac05 what kind of protein shakes are you drinking. For me, the premade variety goes down a lot better and isn't so chalky. I use Atkins premade shakes.
  24. I'm doing well. Today I finally feel like myself. No pain really. My incisions are itching too. I can't wait to be able to try so actual food. Lol I had the bypass
