Surgery in September
I had surgery September 28th. I was home the next day. The gas pains are the worst! Make sure you are stocked up on gas-x because you will need it. Walking helps alot! I was in quite a bit of pain after surgery. They brought me to my room and I just could not get comfortable in the bed because of all the gas pains, I had to get up and walk immediately

Waking up from surgery?
I had to register at 8:15, I went back and got prepped. I got taken back for the surgery around 10:10. I was in my room by 1pm. I remember waking up in recovery and then unhooking me from stuff and be saying it hurts, they gave me meds for the pain and I slowly started waking up. The first day was rough, but it does get better. Walk as much as you are allowed. I was brought into my room and almost immidately got up to walk because I was so uncomfortable

Surgeon trying to convince me to do the sleeve instead of RNY
Are you on a lot of medications? Rny has a longer recovery time. You should ask why she is pushing your towards the sleeve. I asked my surgeon his opinion. I went with RNY, which is what I was leaning towards to begin with. He thought RNY was best for me

Pre-op medically supervised diet & weight question
They go by your starting weight . Your BMI can go below 40. They only look at your starting weight and that you lost what they wanted during the supervised diet
