I'm on the 12th as well! It's finally getting real! I'm counting down the days and trying to get everything prepared. Is it just me, or is surgery all you can think about? I feel like I can't concentrate on much else lol.

Just try and remain positive. You're doing everything right. Just keep talking to your doctors and your surgeon. Get all your ducks in a row before you add surgery to the list.
    Good luck girl!

You could die a ton of other ways, at least if you die on the table you won't know, you could drown or get shot 100 times finally dying on the 100th bullet, I'm sure that would suck more than not knowing and feeling no pain.
Same with a plane, so much more to worry about in life than being afraid of something you have no control over.

    Hey everyone,
I had a video blog years ago when I did the Master cleanse, and when I was trying a brand of Protein shakes. I have just restarted my blog to document my gastric sleeve experience. I want to see if I can get some subscribers here. Please subscribe to my channel and share with others.
The blog is called rebuilding Paul! and I hope you'll take a moment to watch it and offer any suggestions you may have. I want these to improve as I go and this community is very helpful.

I'm so incredible frustrated with the amount of time it is taking my surgeons office to submit my information to my insurance company! Don't tell me you are going to submit on one and you are no were near close to submitting!! I was so upset earlier today it had me in tears!! I just want to get this train moving! I'm trying to be patient and not think about it but when you are ready to have the surgery YOU ARE READY! I felt like going to the office and faxing the damn papers myself! Ugh! Hope this doctor hurries up and give his portion so it can be on its way to be approved!???????????? #Frustrated

Try passing time. When I'm feeling hungry I hop on the Xbox and play some games and drink Water. Don't quit my man. Try and stay the course. You're ahead of me in this process so I need you to make it through this man cause when I get to this point in the process I'll need your help and encouragement. Ride or die!!

I don't think you are out of luck.
For me, once I eat carbs, I crave carbs. The best way not to crave them is not to eat them. Try cutting out all starches for a few days and you may find you no longer crave them.
You have come so far and done so well, I hate to see you so discouraged and fatalistic. Why not make an appointment with your NUT? In the meantime, try going back to basics. Are you getting in all your Protein and Fluid every day? Are you eating Protein first? Are you exercising.
Rather than focus on whether or not your sleeve may or may not have stretched, try focusing on your choices.
    Best of luck.

I live in Irving and work in Arlington what doctor are you seeing? I've been looking at Dr Swanson in Southlake because one of my friends who had the VSG done with him has nothing but good things to say.

@ Sdsdownes, I had my surgery on Wednesday July 29th and went back to work the following Monday and I'm a nurse. It will be a month tomorrow, I'm down about 30 lbs and have no side effects.

I went back to work this week after 1 week post-op. I have been fine throughout the week. No real fatigue or brain fog. It feels good to be out of the house and moving around. I really feel that has aided me in my recovery.
