    Went to my frist follow up. Lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks. Now on full liquids for 2 weeks and normal food in 3 weeks. Although I exspected more less weight loss at least I am loosing. Due to the rain and hot weather here it hasn't been much time to
    get my walking in. I want to thank all the people here for all their advise and support. I was one of the lucky ones that had
    no complications before or after surgery. Onward I go with my journey.

    Hello Everyone, I am knew at this but will do my best to keep it simple. I am 65 years young. I have been a type 2 diabetic for over 30 years. I had a lapband put in 2005. My biggest weight was 310lbs. I went down to 200 but now back up to 230. I had the lapband removed because I felt I had lost all could with it. Now I am having the sleeve put in on Sept. 18th 2015. As expected I am a little nervous about having the operation. But also excited to move into a new journey in my life. I would like to get down to 180lbs, which is what I should be at being 5 feet 8 inches. The main reason I am doing this is do get off all my medications that I
    take for my diabetes. Has anyone stoped taking their meds for diabetes? If so, how long was it after the surgery did this take
    place? Any information about this would be deeply appreciated. Also any tips on what to eat to keep my sugar levels on track.
