I decided to get the Gastric Sleeve after 2 years of thinking about it heavily and my weight going up and down like a yoyo. That was definitely unhealthy! I have been striving to live a healthier more outdoor active lifestyle cause I am not getting any younger, LOL!  I was just having a hard time with the weight issue and trying to get it under control. After losing 40 pounds, and gaining it back again, that was it! I was thru with the weight yoyo! I needed an intervention! I had my Sleeve done In Tijuana with Dr. Maytorena on September 1, 2015 and it went extremely well. I am 8 days post op and doing great so far. I still have not told others about my Sleeve and probably won't, just personal preference,  except one friend who was supposed to get sleeved with me and chickened out, and another who is seriously thinking about surgery to help her, but is waiting to see how I turn out. I joined this site to interact with individuals like myself to support each other and talk about our surgery experience, weight loss journey and goals. I  also would like to join a live bariatric support group in addition to this online one that meets locally, I feel it is therapeutic, important and very helpful to network with others in the same boat as you, so, I am looking into that now. The surgery is behind me, and the permanent healthy lifestyle has begun. Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
