My pre-op is just 2 weeks at 1000 calories a day then clear liquid 48 prior to surgery. I thought I was lucky!

Elective gallbladder removal
I don't agree with my dr and think he should just take it, but he won't. He is "the best" around so in trying to trust him but I know that I'll end up having it out sooner or later

Thanks guys! I have a two week pre-op diet (not really sure what it is yet). Dr office sent out a packet in the mail with all my appointments, lab test requests and the pre op diet stuff in it and I am eagerly waiting for that to get here.

Gallstones
I am really hoping my doc will take it out at the same time... He's kinda vague about all the details still. He has a weight loss goal for me before the surgery. He's a tougher doc apparently... Ugh.

Gallstones
So I found out I have gallstones. No problems as of yet with them that I am aware of. Do you think it's possible to just take it out when I have my bypass? Anyone with the same? Now I'm worried it will delay this already slow moving process.

Cooking for a family
Hello, I was just hoping for some insight... I am pre-op and will have GBP soon. How do you guys cook for your family and not eat it? I have a healthy fit hubby and a 5 and 1 year old. Any insight is appreciated. I think I'm a pretty good cook and it's so far really hard cooking for them. Thanks!

pre op effort suggestions
How much protein pre-op is needed? I thought about the too few calories but thought that since I'll be eating even less after surgery I'd be ok... So Confusing!

Need to drop 30lbs for surgeon
Thank you so much. I'm so tormented by this weight. I think once I finally got the courage to ask for help and decided to have WLS I realized how fed up I really am and how it really is effecting so many aspects of my life and the lives of those around me.

pre op effort suggestions
Dub, thanks for the reply. I am way below my allowed intake according to myfitnesspal on a regular basis. I average about 900 calories a day or less. At first it was coming off nicely but it has slowed so much. I'm frustrated! I'll keep am eye on my sodium for sure.

Need to drop 30lbs for surgeon
So my insurance does not require and supervised diet or weight loss, but my surgeon wants me to loose 30lbs. Any suggestions on dropping that amount of weight fast? I am so ready... I have been wanting and researching WLS for a long time. I had already lost 28 lbs before officially talking to my PCP and asking for help and WLS. I've changed habits, quit soda, and am exercising. I'm so tired of my 5 year olds friends asking if I've got a baby in my big tummy. Help!
