Dear Past, Thanks for the lessons. Dear Future, I'm ready.

I have a 13 year old who says she does not want me to have the surgery. However, my current weight has a serious negative impact on my health and life. Its hard explaining this to her, I think she gets it but still does not like the idea. I suspect because I will be away for surgery. I have also been doing a last tour, if you will and Thanksgiving will be a light dinner. My date is not until Dec 18 but would still like to lose. FMLA paperwork is in the works. Man its a pain!

I am feeling anxious. Everyday is just go away November and get here December. I have tried to start the preop diet step 1, assigned to me (2-3 protein shakes a day plus one salad with fish or chicken) and have yet to get a day perfect. I keep researching to learn everything i can for post op.

I am scheduling a December 18. Anyone else have a December date?
