    Vitamins...yuck

I've been using the multi-vitamin patches since my surgery last October and I love them. I just got a follow up blood test done last month and my levels were all good so they're definitely working for me. I'm not sure about two patches at once though. Maybe send an email to PatchMD and ask to be sure.

    When is weight loss rapid?

I'm so glad I read this thread. I'm two and a half weeks out and my weight loss has really slowed down and I was beginning to feel a bit disheartened and defeated. But it's very comforting to know that it's normal!! I tried to tell myself that it was, but it's much more reassuring to hear it from people who've been through it before lol. So thank you!

    NSV ::this dress(pics) and

You look great! I love finally being able to fit in "goal clothes" that I've had forever. Congrats!
  4. Thanks for the advice, guys! I guess I'm just overly paranoid and scared I'm going to miss an important step somehow! But it's nice to know I'm still on track
  5. Hey guys, I could use some help! I'm 6 days post-op and I'm struggling with the liquid diet. I'm finally getting nearly all of my Water and Protein in, but I've yet to get my calories in. My goal is 500-800 a day. I feel like I'd have to eat and drink constantly all day long to make it work and my little sleeve is not liking the sound of that! Does anyone have any liquid diet routine suggestions? Like times, amounts and what you're eating? Btw... I know this is tricky because everyone's diets tend to be quite different, but I'm just hoping to steal some ideas and work them into my routine. Thank you!!
  6. I'm October 12th too! I have to be at the hospital (which is an hour away) at 5:30 for my 7am surgery. First of the day! But I'm definitely all over the place... Excited, nervous, anxious. I don't know how to feel lol. But I'm about to start packing my bag for my early 3am wake up call on Monday and it's giving me butterflies. But good luck everyone!

    October 12th surgery

The diet isn't near as bad as I thought. There are definitely good moments and bad though. But only had one really bad night where I was craving actual food. To me, keeping busy is key. But now, I'm just getting super restless... I want Monday to get here already!!! And Happy early Birthday!

    Summer clothes

Depending on what you're getting rid of, they have really cute ideas on Pinterest of how to alter shirts to make them smaller. Would make some cute workout clothes while still in the losing phase.

    October 12th surgery

I'm on the 12th as well! It's finally getting real! I'm counting down the days and trying to get everything prepared. Is it just me, or is surgery all you can think about? I feel like I can't concentrate on much else lol.

    October 12 Sleevers!

I'm October 12th too! I'm from Ohio and going to Dr. Watkins in West Chester. Luckily, I only have a two week liquid pre op diet, so I don't start until Monday. But hopefully yours is going well so far! Are you going to Mexico for your sleeve?
  11. I just got my date yesterday, Oct 12th!! Can't come soon enough!

No worries! You have to be getting excited! So close I wish you the best of luck! Do you mind me asking where you're having it done?

Self Pay Questions for First Consult

Thank you so much! That's a lot of good information. Looks like I'll be taking lots of notes tomorrow! I guess my worst fear is hidden costs that I wasn't aware of up front. I know things can add up quickly. Did you end up paying more than you were expecting in the end or was it all pretty straightforward and predetermined?
  14. Hey, my name is Kelly and tomorrow is my first consult appointment with Dr. Trace Curry in Cincinnati, Ohio. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover wls, so I'm paying for my sleeve on my own. Does anyone have any advice on what sort of questions I should ask as a self pay patient? I have a list started, but I don't want to miss anything important and I'm scared that once my nerves kick in, I won't think to ask the right questions! I'm very anxious (and excited) already and just don't know what to expect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
