    That's great. I am down 34 pounds.

haleyk, I know what you mean. I hate that feeling that whatever I sipped is just sitting there, then the strange sensation of it finally passing through. I don't complain though. Once I recover, their is a whole new life waiting for me in the other side. This discomfort is totally worth it!

Solids already? I know every doctor is different, but nothing I read advised solids in the first week. My f/u is Monday, and I'll be able to move onto runny oatmeal and grits. Check with your doctor to be sure you are not moving too fast.

I can't say I'm actually hungry. I guess is just the desire to have the foods I used to binge on again. I do protein shakes and strained wonton soup. Can't wait until I can eat some oatmeal, and I am missing my coffee terribly!
  6. Hi, I was sleeved on Monday August 24th. I have to say, I feel so much better than I thought I would. Getting fluids in is a chore, but I sip all day long. I don't know if I lost any weight, but when I put my bra on this morning, it seemed a little easier to put on. I'm not hungry, but when I see food commercials, I feel like I'm missing an old friend. Anyone else experience this?

    New day, new me!

Thank you for the encouragement. I know I can do this, and I will!

    Secret sleever

I am getting a sleeve next Monday, and have only told my husband. I didn't tell him until I had all the pre op test done. I have not told my two children, my parents, siblings or friends. I am already nervous and don't want the added pressure or attention to my progress. Tell who you are comfortable telling. You are not obligated to let anyone know.
  9. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I am scheduled to get a sleeve 8/24. I am both excited and nervous. I want to do well once I get the sleeve, but my 2 week prep has not gone smooth. After day 3, I was only doing one shake instead of three, and yesterday I ate a cheesesteak. I'm determined to get back on track, but the fact that I have failed so early in makes me wonder if that is a sign of things to come?
