  1. I feel like ever since I got sleeved, my friends have been picking fights with me, and people in general have not been as friendly with me pre-sleeve. Am I the only one? I'm trying not to let it get to me, but it is. It's my body, why should anyone else care? Sigh....
  2. Anyone have this problem? It's like my weight loss has come to a screeching halt! I'm doing everything my surgeon said to, and my scale has been stuck! Ugh, it's so frustrating!

Thanks, Hun ???? I thought maybe I was doing something wrong!

    New here...6 months post op!

Wow, you look amazing! I am exactly one week post op. I hope to lose as much as you at six months. Keep up the great work! I hit my protein goals by drinking GNC's lean shake. Each bottle is 25 grams of protein, so I shoot for 3 per day. Surprisingly, they are quite tasty! Good luck in all your weight loss endeavors!
  5. I should have elaborated better on the "fight" part. What I mean to say is that they have been super nit picky at everything I do. For instance, I was having a conversation about exercise with one friend, and it turned into her screaming and cursing at me for accidentally talking over her. She had never talked to me like that before, and I was completely blindsided. It's like, "What gives?" We shall see... Hopefully my experience will get better.

18 days op and period is going on 14 days!

This is probably related to the Heparin shots they gave you pre op. Heparin is an anticoagulant that prolongs bleeding. I'm one week post op, and still bleeding as well (it's been seven days, my periods are always 5) my surgeon told me not to worry, and that it will resolve.
  7. Have you had your thyroid checked? This could be the culprit

    Who Are You?

Love this thread! My name is Anna, I'm 31 years old, from the good ol' garden state. I am single, no kids or husband, and taking this time to really work on myself. My ballooning weight has been a lifelong struggle for me. Food was never a source of survival for me, instead it became a potent drug. I struggled with BED for a long time, and finally sought out help. I wanted a long term solution for a healthier way of life, and the sleeve made sense. It seemed as though it was the perfect tool to really get me motivated. I work as a nurse in an ambulatory setting, and was able to get feedback from individuals who have gone through with WLS. Every single person said it was the best decision they have ever made. I then talked to my insurance company, and surprisingly was covered 100%. I'm still new, only 4 days post op, but im looking forward to going on this journey. Best of luck to everyone, and lots of love!
  9. I can't imagine. You will be getting the last laugh soon, as you transition to a healthier you! ????
  10. Hmmm, let's see...developing severe social anxiety, depression, diabetes, severe joint pain. I basically felt like ????everyday. I told my surgeon that once I get back to onederland, I'm throwing a party in their office. You are all invited...lol.
  11. My surgery is Monday. Never have I felt such an array of emotions all at once...I been cheating on my pre op diet a little bit, and not sure how that's going to affect me during the surgery. Any advice would be great.
