Hi! I'm Stephanie a wife and homemaker in the suburbs of New Orleans. I've been happily married for close to fifteen years to my junior high sweetheart and we have an eighteen year old son and a ten year old daughter. I am thirty five years old. I had gastric bypass surgery on 7-14-2010 and I weighed 281 lbs. I lost 110 lbs. I did very well for three years. I woke up blind in my right eye three days later. I'd been experiencing dumping syndrome for about six months but knew that was common. I didn't think much of it. I started experiences severe headaches. I had a severe migraine for three days and woke up blind in my right eye on the fourth. They were not able to diagnose a cause and I did not regain my vision. The migraines have not stopped and that was 2/7/2014. I began losing weight rapidly no matter how much I ate. No doctor could say why. I developed severe anxiety and the pain from the migraines has been terrible. I have four specialist two different type of neurologists, a pain management specialist, an Endocronologist, and I'm on so many medicines I can't think straight. It wasn't until three weeks ago after 18/24 months of this torture three spinal taps almost a month in the hospital and countless tests and scans we FINALLY have the answer! I'm MALNOURISHED! I've gone from almost 300 pounds to 108 pounds and my body is not absorbing vitamins, nutrients, or enough fat. On September 16, 2015 my surgeon will be converting my Gastric Bypass to a Gastric Sleeve. The mail causes of my malnutrition is severe dumping syndrome and late dumping syndrome
