  8. Went back for pre-service after 3 1/2 weeks and had students after 4 1/2, teacher. It was very tough and i had no problems. This past week, 6 weeks out was the first time i felt the energy return. It is important to remember to drink and eat. I could not have gone back at 2 weeks. Maybe if i could have worked 1/2 day, but that would not have been a choice.
  9. Salmon fulls me up quicker than soft white fish, but i do love it, just eat slowly so u will feel when u have enough
  10. I was sleeved on 7/29 and have lost only 24 lbs since surgery, really thought it would be more the first 2-3 months. I am eating 800-1000 calories a day and cant function on less. I could exercise more, but the 200 calories i lose is not a big deal for weight loss, instead i should exercise for mental health and build muscles
  11. I have been treated for anxiety for many years. I am 7 weeks out and have found that some days my anxiety is worse than normal. I am not sure if it is because i cant reduce it with food or it is the low carb diet. I read thay a low carb diet could negatively impact mood, then i read on another site it makes it better. I see my wl dr on monday and my psychiatrist next month so i will talk to them about it, but wondering in anyone had had the same issue.
  12. I am a teacher and had the surgery over the summer. I had it at the end of july, but still went back to work 25 lbs less and no one noticed. Saw my family and no one noticed. I know my weight loss is coming off slowly but i thought people would think i looked a liitle smaller. Since my tummy is only 4 inches smaller i still can wear my same clothes, they are just looser. I wonder at what point do people notice your loss?
  13. Sleeved 7/29, hw 245, sw 237, cw 215. I have lost 7 lbs in the past month. Not a complete stall, but is frustrating. Thought i would lose pretty quickly the first 3 months before settling in to 2-3 lbs a week, did not expect it to happen at month 2. My bmi was 36 at surgery.
  14. Tried making popcicles with my insure fruit drinks, yuck, fresh fruit i am sure us better
  15. 1 mile us great, do not diminish your accomplishment
  16. Get non flavored protein powder and add to soups, yogurt, or any other thing you are eating/drinking. I just did not add to yo plain water. I found premier chocolate shakes the best
  17. I was on a liquid diet 2 weeks before and for 3 weeks after, that 5 weeks of liquid was maddening. It is difficult and i hope you know that most people on this site are here for you. Of course we do not want anyone to do something dangerous, wanting to eat during the liquid stage is quite normal, take each day one by one. I am now 6 weeks out and can eat most things. I do not eat meat so that is not an issue, the next thing to try raw veggies, salad.
  18. Right side under ribs? Could it be ur gall bladder. Or maybe ur body getting use to new foods
  19. Finished my first week back with students. I was tired everyday on Thursday was back to school night and Friday of football game Saturday I took a nap for 3 hours
  20. I am 5'8" and once weighed 130 and felt great at that weight. i doubt you need to lose anymore, but if u feel good enjoy the new u
  21. I had a 50th birthday dinner and choose to have my first post-op drink. I had my favorite, a margerita. I ate before the party and it took my 2 hours to drink it, but it was enjoyable. My new eating plsn is for life, so if i want a drink once in awhile i will have one, just can't eat while drinking
  22. I found that 20-30 carbs did not make me feel well. I upped them to 40-50, still within my dr range. Mainly from fruits and veggies. Occasionally I will have a few rice cracker with guacamole or a wheat cracker with Peanut Butter. Talk to your NUT and request more carbs.
  23. I used to think "If only I..." was thinner, then i got thin, still depressed. Had a boyfriend, got one, still depressed. Could get pregnant, then i did, still depressed. For me it is a chemical inbalance. Being overweight caused me to be unhappy, not depressed. Please see or continue to see a dr about ur depression. A healthier u is better for you in total, but u may still need help with depression.
