Wonder what the average weight time is?

I got to keep on this...pushing for all things necessary to get approved.I want my surgery before the NewYear....wishful thinking but hey next week when I go to the consult they will give me a referral to NUT and psych...want them scheduled ASAP...want papers sent in by the end of the month.

Trying to get there..had an endoscopy...he found nothing but said that my esophagus was torturous.Acid reflux...he didn't pick up the hiatal hernia..,glad it was documented on the series of tests performed in the ER. Consultiation in 2 weeks...followed by NUT and psyc...

The reason your dr is trying to steer you to the RNY is for a reason.I have the band which has failed and caused me so much pain and my esophagus is "tortured"My acid reflux is outrageous and the amount of tests for this band is horrific.Think about every time the have to inject a long needle to fill you with fluid...My port has distended my stomach...now that is invasive.The sleeve is not an option and I cannot afford a leak or ulceration so that has happened to some.RNY is what I should of went with because My metabolism is screwed and I want a procedure that is proven...this time I am not afraid.I finally get it!RNY!

Endoscopy scheduled tomorrow.

Revision to what a sleeve?

I totally agree...the only way to get that stubborn metabolism which is that makeup that your body knows...I refer to it as a switchback....diet now but Your body will revert back later...the bypass tricks it and gives you a chance to use it as a tool.My boy fights weight loss...RNY because I want it to be the last surgery...no more alternatives.

I originally had surgeon Marina Kurian at Lenox Hill.The bariatric team there is top notch.I heard she now has her own practice in midtown.NY bariatric group is good.

I am seeking a revision from the lap and.I initially decided on getting the sleeve.I was sure for the last few months.I did my research and really thought about it And now I have decided on the RNY.Just changed from a dr that only does lap and and sleeve to his associate who does it all.Do your homework ,ask a lot of questions and change if you need to.Do what's right for you!

I had the band unfilled last week.Got the doctor in the same practice who performs bypass.No problem.Going to try to get a fast appt with the NUT and psych in the next few weeks.My official consult with the new doc is on the 11th...no need for referral since they are partners in the same group.Yay!I want a revision before the New Year if possible.Pushing it.

I have heard that some morbidly or failed bypass patients are getting banded ....vice versa.

I have Horizon NJ Health...so far ok not sure yet because My paperwork has not been submitted as of yet.

I was able to change Dr within the same practice.I was told I have to sort of start over,see a NUT,psych evaluation....

I have a really attractive friend who never discusses weight...she has a very high bmi.It got so bad that she would come over with the intent to see a movie or go shopping the last time she came over she literally had to take a nap..Heart palpitations and dizziness from the high blood pressure....fast forward 4 months ago she revealed that she was getting the sleeve.....What ??,I would of never thought..,fast forward 2 month out she and her daughter had surgery 2 weeks apart....down 40 pounds ...joining a gym....amazing.

I was seeking a revision to sleeve but I did my research and will opt for bypass.....can't cut out 85% of my stomach.No way.
