  1. I just came out of surgery a few hours ago and they couldn't do the bypass for me because my band eroded my stomach and my organs were swollen and smashed together. Yay me.this band was the worst decision ever. I basically did all this testing and went through surgery and that terrible preop diet and paid all It's a shame that we can't file lawsuits. The band is defective.
  2. Same here...revising...I get the results to my sleep apnea on Friday one or 2 more NUT and schedule of my psych and I am ready to submit paperwork...I need this revision to bypass ASAP.

After 14 miserable and unsuccessful years with the lapband I am going for revision to bypass.I had to start all over again....now I just have sleep apnea and PSYCH evaluation.Sleep apnea may delay me a bit but almost ready for all my papers to be submitted for insurance approval. I should of went with the bypass day one...
  6. Because of my insane battle with GERD and other issues as it relates to the band I am now opting for a revision to bypass .I was going for the sleeve but will now go with bypass.
  7. I am scheduled for my in hospital sleep study on Halloween...can't wait to see the results.I was so busy trying to take all the necessary steps for revision from lapband to bypass that I had no time to really think"When as the last time I had a sound night of sleep?

  11. Same here...lapband makes you obsessive because at times you can handle foods other times a vomit fest.As I told the NUT.It doesn't matter what you say to me regarding a meal plan because sometimes I can have a salad or a boil egg, next time I will barf. You never know....and I become so hungry!
  12. I wanted a mastectomy...insurance only paid for lumpectomy...ugh
  13. You gotta get protein!!!Be careful...drink fluids...protein will keep u ok.
  14. It will get better. My friend who had the sleeve I July had the same problem .She was literary sucking on peppermint candies because it was that bad..,,then it got better...,much better... Sugarfree hard candy.
  15. The gallbladder is nothing to play with...you have to get it removed if you are having problems.Mine was so bad it collapsed when he was removing it.The stones wear hard and bilious. The lapband is a contributor...I am sure.
  16. #1 My surgery is October 26th. I had a complete hysterectomy in 2013, and three years of tamoxifen before that. I thought I was done with all my hormone issues, but with the beginning of my pre-op liquid diet, I'm starting to feel as though I'm experiencing a hormonal response. So I'm thinking, the body stores estrogen in fat. I'm losing fat now, with more to come. Could there still be enough residual estrogen in my system to cause me trouble? It's not going to stop me, but forewarned is fore-armed, and my husband and son will want to know if they should be prepared to duck and cover. We are very similar.I take anastrazole
  17. I wish my doctor at the time would have urged me to pick Bypass over lapband back in 2004.
  18. Good luck ...you will be fine..
  19. Good luck a prayer has been said!!!You are on your way ...You will be able to give me pointers when I get to that point hopefully.Relax and congratulations and good luck!
