Argument for Surgeon as to Why I Want the Bypass

Possible that he can get more sleeves in in one day? Sounds awful but I have heard of this stuff before. Also the long term effects of the sleeve are not really known. And the sleeve is only restrictive. My advice is get what is going to work for you. If you feel that RNY is what will work for you. Then don't be afraid to go with another surgeon. I would think that the dietary period would transfer over to another surgeon. You have to live with the results of this the rest of your life the surgeon does not.

    Negative Stories

In my experience the naysayers bring stories of "gastric bypass failures" when the person they are referring to did have a weightless surgery but they are actually unsure of which one they had. I suspect a lot of these failures are actually bands, given the band failure rate. Of the five people I know who had RNY one has gained most of their weight back. That person has done so by having absolute determination not to change her habits. She seems to have pushed her body to be able to deal with eating cake and high sugar foods saying she used to have dumping but you can get your body used to that.

    RNY DIDNT WORK

I lost the first two weeks and almost nothing during the third week like 1 or 2 pounds. Then started again. The pace has picked up now. My nutrionist and nurses have warned that stalls can and do happen not to worry about it. Good luck and follow the instructions.

    Tuna salad.

I am starting my 5th week post op and can have canned fish this week any good tuna salad recipes out there? If I missed the board for RNY recipes my apologies.
  5. Mine was liqued hydro, I believe it is the same as yours. Fingers crossed that you won't need it long.

One year anniversary of my GB

I am glad to hear that you are getting the help you need. I have met many people who are resistant to seeking out help. In my experiences it was very helpful So I have to ask what is you preferred method of catfishing?
  7. I am 6 days post op and maybe one of the luckier when it comes to pain. I went into surgery at 10 am and had my last pain med at 4:30 am so 15 hours on pain meds. Haven't touched the liquid I got prior to surgery. Good luck

    2 days post op

Congratulations, I had my RNY on the the 28th. No pain meds since about 4 am on the 29th. I have had some very mild discomfort with the incisions, now they just itch. But the staples come out in 5 hours. BM came at three days post op. I have been behind on Fluid intake only 14 ounces first day home. And have increased daily, broke the 48 Oz mark yesterday for the first time. I think I had some lasting inflammation as I had very bad case of dry heaves after surgery. Took three different anti nausea meds to get it stopped. Not sure if it was from the anesthesia or what. It seems there is a big difference in the diets I have seen. I was 2 days post before Protein shakes and can start yogurt and blended strained Soups tomorrow.

Donald have you sought out help in the form of counselling? Perhaps there are some issues that you need to work out that you are having trouble facing or even unable to identify. I know thai was the case with me when I went through counseling, I have done it a few times and found it very rewarding. Congrats on your weight loss. I bet getting out there after Mr. Whiskers is easier now. I am 6 days post op and have been itching to get back on the Water catch some fish. I hope in don't get smaller with my weight loss, lol just kidding. Good luck in all that you pursue.
