  1. I am 2 weeks shy of my 6 month mark. I haven't lost any weight in the last 2 months. I just started exercising again...once it got cold I was totally unmotivated to exercise. Anyone else plateau? What can I do? What are you eating and how much?
  2. I relied on ice water and crystal light!!
  3. Thanks for sharing! A must try
  4. I walked immediately after surgery. Started going to the gym 1 month after surgery and love every minute. I do notice significant pain after core days so I limit those to 2 days per week for now. I'm 3 months post op and down 44lbs
  5. Fortunately I have not had this problem but a coworker of mine is experiencing this. Doctors say that you can start losing your hair if you are not getting enough protein. It just so happens that she completely stopped drinking her protein shake after a month & a half....are you getting enough?
  6. Nausea and pain will subside that's the good news! If you keep walking they'll let you go sooner! All the work is done once you're home. I, like a lot of people was remorseful but it will pass!! Be totally compliant and you WILL be successful. I am 2 1/2 months post op and down 40lbs. Good luck to ya!
  7. I took 5 weeks. Allowing myself time to heal and adjust to a new life. Take the time you need! You'll know when you're ready to go back!
  8. Update: so day 1 of no snacking went well. I think it was mostly mind hunger before...I stayed full with water and protein, and ate 3 small meals today. Hopefully day 2 goes as well. We'll see...
  9. What part of Sacramento?
  10. I am almost 3 months post op and I find myself snacking in between meals. I eat 3x a day and my snacks consist of deli turkey meat with string cheese, green beans, or even crackers. Should I be snacking this early on? And I'm still having trouble taking protein everyday and enough water. Anyone else??
  11. Hummus! Try black bean Hummus I promise you'll fall in love!
  12. Omg! I am almost 3 months post op and I was craving pizza like crazy! But like others have mentioned, there are so many healthier pizza options. I made baked zucchini topped with marinade and low fat cheese. Totally satisfied the cravings!
  13. It will probably make you sick. And at this stage, you won't keep it down. Don't do it....I've thought about drinking too but started remembering all my party days....I've had plenty lol and don't miss drinking
  14. Mm glad to know there's hope! I too am craving pizza like crazy! Sugary date 7.13.15 PW 218, CW 194
  15. Isopure is a good one! I have fruit punch and sometimes I leave it in the freezer and I can get it down easier. I have a hard time with the protein too but managing to get 60g in per day...30 days post op
  16. Tofu is pretty good too. I had some yesterday with 2 slices of avacado! Today I had tuna and humus! Pinterest has all kinds of bariatric recipes for various stages. Hang in there! Oh and if you eat mashed pots get instant! I've tried ordering them at 3 different places...fail!!!
  17. Im having the same issue. No bm for 2 days =/ 30 days post op. Anyone eles?
  18. I am having trouble with whey protein....any suggestions? Proteins not whey based?
  19. Initially my husband felt the same way. Until I invited him to one of my classes and my doctor’s appointment. He was able to ask questions and then felt more at ease. He's my biggest supporter and I am very thankful. Maybe this is something you can do also. I also reminded him of the reason behind the surgery. Mine was diabetes. I had been on insulin for 12 years killing my pancreas. My surgery date was July 13th and today I was feeling depressed but this app and all the discussions have helped me immensely. Good luck with the hubs!
  20. Thanks! I have to remember to drink protein between meals to keep me full....Thanks again
  21. You know what, I haven't been exercising as much. Maybe that is the answer. I had plans to check out a gym tomorrow. I think I'll follow through with that and hope to get over this hurdle. Thanks for your warm words!
  22. Wow I thought I was the only one experiencing the foaming...I'm almost 4 weeks post-op and recently had the same thing happen. It lasted 1 whole day so the next day I went back to clear liquids and by 3rd day I was ok. I still feel like I'm not eating enough. I'm at about 3 tbls of food on average about 2x per day. Maybe that is enough? Maybe I'm rambling...lol anyway glad to know I'm not alone. Good luck to you all!
