Wanted to comment back on this post. This helped my food addiction. I no longer consider myself a food addict or a compulsive over eater. The surgery forced me to find alternative ways to deal with my emotional triggers. Beyond grateful I did this!

As someone who works in surgery on a daily basis, I doubt your lack of compliance with the diet caused your perioperative complications, unless it was related to your liver being fatty, which would have been reduced a little if you followed the diet accordingly. But I'm glad you used it as a wake up call that you need to listen to your surgeon and follow his directions accordingly.

Everyone loves to tell me that since I'm still young, I won't need plastic surgery when I'm done losing weight. Not so sure about that. I see guys who now weigh more than I do, but look better. I still look like I have a little gut, even though my BMI is no longer obese. I'm trying firming creams and wraps soon, but just curious if anyone else around our age had to have an abdominoplasty or liposuction. Here are my stats: 28 5'11 HW 347 SW 317 CW

I would agree with that sentiment. Morbid obesity...everyday is leg day.

I'm really excited now! 3 days until I'm sleeved! And I've been doing well on my diet. I don't even crave food that much unless I'm actually hungry now. What an amazing concept lol

28 year old dude here, HW 347 CW 323 GW 200. I get sleeved in 16 days, and I'm on day 6 of 21 days preop liquid diet.
Looking for some inspiration, stories, NSV's, pictures! Anything to keep on my cell phone when cravings arise.
I appreciate it! Looking forward to wrestling my life back in order and getting over these food addictions and demons!

Hey everyone! I'm getting sleeved in 22 days! ???? I'm beyond excited, but also anxious as hell. Not because of the surgery or recovery, but rather with my ability to be compliant. I start my 21 day preop liquid diet tomorrow. I'd love a buddy or mentor to help me out during the next few weeks. If you'd like to give me some advice, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks!
