    When can I drive

I was allowed to drive as soon as I was off of pain meds and felt up to it. Just don't drive too far, because it will tire you out.
  2. I was really exhausted in week 4. Spoke with my PCP and she instructed me to lower my BP medications by half. That did the trick for me. Since then she has lowered it again. Cheers.

    Weird question

I don't think that is a totally normal question. I did not have any problems with Protein drinks, Water, or broth since the second day after surgery. No, being able to drink that easily does not stretch your stomach. You will definitely feel it more when you get into the mushy food stage. Best of luck.

    Recovery Time?

I took off 4 weeks. I just started feeling "normal" in the 4th week. Best of luck on your surgery.
  5. I was sleeved on 9/15/2015. I eat 4 ounces of Protein 3 times per day. I have just started to add a couple of green Beans to the mix. Anything more than that and it has come right back up.
  6. I was sleeved on 9/15. On 9/29, after I met with my NUT, I was told I could eat ground meats, canned shicken, and canned tuna. The most at each meal is 4 ounces. The first 4 days I could not get in more than 2 ounces per meal, so then I had to make up with Protein drink. Today I managed to eat 4 ounces for lunch and dinner each, and I feel stuffed for hours. I am really missing veggies.
  7. Q1 - yes, it is normal to have regrets but it will go away. Q2 - Q5 - Amazon.com, CVS, or any other drugstore. Q8- Leave your incision along. Remember to walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip. Best of luck!
  8. The first 4 days after surgery I was starving and my stomach was gurgling like mad. I am now taking an acid reducer twice a day and my hunger has disappeared. Just a thought.
  9. Met with my surgeon and nutritionist today - 2 weeks post op. I have lost 13 pounds, with a total of 31 lost since July 9, 2015. We were all really pleased with my progress. Am now on Stage 4 eating plan. So I got a lovely three ounces of tuna for dinner. It was absolutely awesome to chew on something. Tomorrow morning I plan to have a cheese omelette. Absolute best news is the fact that I was able to cross my legs normally this evening while at the movies. Namaste.

    Hungry after surgery

I had feelings of hunger for the first 3 days or so after surgery. I now take an acid reducer in the morning and in the evening. All hunger pangs have disappeared. Best of luck to you.

To tell or not to tell

It's never crossed my mind to not tell people, if they ask. The several close friends I have told have stated that they think it is a very brave decision to take, and they are so supportive.

So it turns out my wife is gay...

Hello Smye, I am so sorry you are having to go through this, and I speak from experience. I was married to a man who realized he was gay 14 years into our relationship/marriage and I have survived. We went through therapy together and separately, and then divorced. For me one of the hardest things to do was to come out as someone who was married to a gay man. After we divorced we did not see each other or communicate for 6 months just to get our bearings individually. He and I have remained great friends, and we speak oftern. I still visit his parents once a year. I know if it complicated, but with time you will be fine. Namaste.
