I attended my pre-op nutritional/surgical orientation today. I'm scared to death! I was doing fine up until now. There's so much to remember, keeping supplements straight. Any post op sleevers have any requests? Does it get easier?

The 30th ????

I have a countdown running on my phone and I am sooo close now that I'm starting to get the jitters! I have been going through this process for 6 months and it felt like it would never get here!!! Any words of advise? I can't wait for my journey to begin...but I'm kinda freaking out...is this normal?

I'm sorry you don't have the complete support of your hubs! My husband has supported me through thick and thin lol. He knows that this decision did not come easy for me and I think he respects me a but more for taking this on. I have a 6 year old daughter and I want so much for her. I have such body image issues and I don't want to project any of that on her. She's beautiful and has her daddy's metabolism, thank God! I am just waiting for the insurance company to come to their senses lol. ???? cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, psych, nutritional counseling...I'm done. The insurance co change policy in the middle of my journey and decided that 2 NUT sessions were not sufficient and are requiring 6! Sooo that puts me at October after having an August date. Keep in mind, other things you consume throughout the day count toward your water consumption. My NUT explained to me that if you eat sugar free jello or sugar free ice pops, it counts as part of the 64 ounces...so don't panic, we will all figure it out together! ????

Feeling defeated! Just got word that my insurance was denied..I was originally supposed to complete 2 months of nutritional counseling, they just changed the requirement to 6! I was so ready!! My August date has now been pushed to October! Please tell me it will be ok and it will happen! need a major hug or pep talk!!

Hi all! I was scheduled for surgery on August 19 but our insurance changed their coverage requirements from 2 months to 6 months nutritional counseling. Feeling frustrated that I have to wait until September/October...everything happens for a reason, right? I'm so ready!!
