I am in Tijuana Mexico right now. I went through BariatricPal with Dr Carlos Altamirano Cano. I had the gastric sleeve surgery done. He charges $4199 for the surgery with two years of follow-up nutrition support. Plus if finds a hernia during surgery, he'll remove it for free. I purchased the medical medical tourism insurance which made my total price $4399. I didn't need to use it but having a peace of mind was well worth it just in case I would of needed it. Everyone is great here. Very caring and respectful. Francisco came clean my room twice a day. It very clean here. I love it!! I feel blessed.???????? I'm worried about becoming dehydrated/sick/malnourished from lack of water/food/vitamins etc. Most of all I worry about losing too much weight along with a lot of hair. I am stocking up on vitamins and protein powder mix packs and also Biotin chewable. But I can't let any of thses fears stop me from doing what's good for my health.

@, start stocking up on vitamins/gummies/chewables and protein powder mix packs. I ordered mines on Amazon.com where they can send you packs/cases once per month or every two months. Do a lot of research also on the surgery and what to drink and eat afterwards. I will miss drinking sodas but being slim and healthy will be much better.

How much is Dr , Altamarino charging for the surgery and how many days would I be in the hospital and the hotel? When do you plan on going? I want to try and have it done before the year ends. I want to go into 2016 feeling good and looking better then I do now.

@, wow! I wonder why they quoted you that high?? If you go on their website at www.Tijuana Bariatrics. Com they have the prices listed. I think you pay extra if your BMI is over 40 or 50 plus if you do single ins surgery you pay an extra $1000 dollars. My BMI is 33. $8500 is too high! Were you going to get the sleeve or bypass?
