I am 30 years young & have decided after much back & forth & tears that it is time to take this step towards having GSV done.
 
A little about me:
I was raised in Okinawa Japan where I could pretty much eat anything I wanted & never gained weight because they used healthier oils/etc when cooking. So, I was always a small size. I moved to the states when I turned 18 & within 6 months gained 25lbs. I wasn't doing anything different. So, I talked it up to just being depressed from leaving Okinawa (My Home, even though I am 100% all-american white girl)
 
As time went on, I continued to gain weight & even with diet & exercise I coun't kick any weight. After speaking with a dr they informed me of all the differences in the oils/foods here & how it's just not the same.
 
By the time I married my husband & we had our first child, (I was 21) I had gone from being a size 3 (18) to being 231 lbs & MISERABLE!!! That's a huge difference in 3 years time.
 
I lost bit of the weight & got back down to about 175 lbs & then got pregnant with our 2nd child. Which put me right back at 230.
 
Well, my children are 9 & 7. I am still sitting at 232 lbs now & can't seem to lose it. I have done intense boot camp style workout classes, completely cut out eating out, no soda, calorie counting, fad diets, Advocare, Plexus, Phentermine, Weight Watchers.... NOTHING has worked.
 
So, I am finally putting my foot down & MAKING THIS HAPPEN.
 
I have my consult with Dr Stowers in Decatur Texas on 8/10 & I am NERVOUS, yet EXCITED all in one. He came highly recommended on here & so I look forward to meeting with him.
 
I am a very honest/blunt yet laid back person & I try to see the best in everything. I own a daycare & a photography business & I really enjoy the ocean. My family is my life & I want this surgery to work so that I can be more involved with them & enjoy more outdoor things. Swimming, Hiking, Sports etc.
