    Another tricare approved

Hi Wendy, I just read this post you made and I feel so nauseous now. I am 5'3", 244 lbs, medium framed...according to Met Life chart I should weigh in at 121-135...my Dr. just submitted me to qualify under the 200% with no co-morbs requirement. So I just read the post you made...does this mean that I am going to be denied again??? I am so nervous now my vision is blurring. I have been doing this since March 2008 and it just seems to be hopeless. I cannot stand to gain more weight. My knees hurt so bad I can barely stand to climb my stairs, but I cannot get a "severe arthritis" diagnosis. My blood pressure is elevated but the Dr. will not diagnose me with hypertension. I am at my wits end. Hope you can shed some light on this.
  2. Hi Karina, I have been dealing with Triwest since March. I have dealt with denials, appeals, denials to appeals, etc. I am 5'3", 244, no co-morbs, and I have a medium frame. I am hoping now to qualify under their 200% rule. I was resubmitted today, but it has not shown up on the site yet. Do you know anything about the 200%? My ideal weight should be like 131-150-something. I am really hoping to qualify this time. Just thought I would share with you! You are not alone.

  3. Hello! I have been denied so many times here in the US that I am considering Mexico as my next option. I was wondering what your total cost was with Dr. Chong, and also what airport you flew into?

    Finally Approved By Tri-care

Hi Amy, I have been following your posts all the way from Alaska!! lol I was denied by Tricare the same day you were. I was at 38.6 BMI, with co-morbs but not THEIR specific co-morbs. Once I was denied, I called the insurance lady at the Dr. office and she said I need to get in the office to weigh in, put rocks in my pocket or just whatever, but et over that 40 BMI mark. Well, I put weights in my pocket and came in at a BMI of 41!!! Then, my insurance lady who does the appeals went on medical leave and will not be back in until Monday, 5/19. Do you think I will get approved now with my new BMI?? I am soooo nervous about this, I just can't function anymore! Hope to hear from you soon!

    Denied by Tricare........:(

I just got denied by Tricare today as well. I am so bummed. They told the Dr. office that I did not meet THEIR co-morbs. I have mild sleep apnea, fatty liver disease, high cholesterol, GERD, and arthritis in my knees...
