  1. Being diagnosed with sleep apnea shouldn't delay the process but help getting the insurance company on board. I was DX'd 10 years ago and it is definitely helping the cause but once you are DX'd your surgeon will (should) require you to bring your cpap mask to the hospital.
  2. Yup, ask at the member service desk and they can schedule you with one
  3. In my experience hospitals bill you after its submitted to the insurance and the insurance pays their portion. I've never had to prepay for services/surgery before. Check with the hospital but I'd be shocked if they make you pay in full prior to the procedure.
  4. The worst part about the cpap is finding a mask that you like.
  5. pB2 is amazing! They have it at Walmart here. You might want to check to see if it's cheaper than GNC
  6. I have been bad this weekend... Ugh I've been doing so well and this weekend I had a complete calorie meltdown. I think we will still have moments of weakness. Our bodies are getting used to this idea and for me it's still telling me I'm hungry when obviously I'm not. Oh boy is this tough
  7. If there is a planet fitness near you try there. $10 per month and they have free personal trainers
  8. My nut told me to look at only the calories at this point.. That is unless you have hbp or are a diabetic. It is true that the seasoning packet has a lot of sodium but there are recipes you can do without it. Just keep in mind the serving size (1/2 block is a serving)
  9. I had someone tell me yesterday "well, you don't weigh that much". I have 70+ lbs to lose. And frankly at this point I don't care what others think.
  10. In the six months you will prepare yourself mentally and physically for your new life. Six months may seem like a lifetime but It has gone by rather quick for me (I have a 7 month wait) I'm already entering month 4! Hang In there!
  11. http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=520681 These are really good!
  12. I have been over weight 20+ years so there isn't anything left of the former me. If there was it would be so out of style lol
  13. A lot of great ideas! I'll get some tailored and shop at those store but I can't wait to go on a shopping spree and throw all of these "fat pants" out.. my closet will never be the same!
  14. I am having surgery in the dead of winter. I know some of my winter clothes will fit me at first. My question is....what type of clothing Should you buy in the losing phase.
  15. my doctors office said most reply within 10 days. ????good luck
  16. ???? glad I called. She said to ignore those instructions. They are for the actual bariatric surgery. Maybe they should clarify that in the letter...
  17. I'm going to call my Drs office because when I got the list of tests I needed for the procedure it said to follow the liquid diet (with no Instructions) and do the prep kit prior to surgery (with no Rx) Thanks for the reply
  18. What pre-op diet were you on? Was there a pre-op kit?
  19. I chose it because the thought of throwing up warm food when I would eat too much was unpleasant.
  20. Walgreens is a little bit more than Walmart ($8.50/4 pk) but if you don't have a Walmart it's another option
  21. The part of the stomach that is removed contains the "hunger hormone" I hope that means we will "feel" full if that's not there to mess with us.
  22. Yeah, something doesn't seem right. I know some insurances require monthly visits but if your insurance doesn't he's milking this.
  23. Is there another one you can see?
  24. My EGD is scheduled for sept 11! I can't wait to get it over with. Yay to being half way!!
