Just for the record, I had hair loss after my son was born. My doctor said that sometimes it's a reaction to a trauma to the body. I know most surgeries are laproscopic, but i would think any surgery would be considered a trauma to the body.
I think it probably just boils down to everyone being different and having different reactions. I am anticipating that I will have Hair loss and trying to prepare myself mentally. After all, if a few grey hairs want to jump ship on me, I'm ok with that

Please considering slowing your roll, my young hombre.
All is well. All is good.
Take a deep breath and relax.
You are at the tipping point........making a big decision about where to head next and what the implications are.
I'm gonna drop some truth on you, boss. You didn't ask for this....but here it is, regardless: Every major decision I've successfully made in life......every good choice.........every single life goal that I've achieved.......has been when I took the advice and was inspired by A WOMAN !!!!!!!
They are called the fairer sex for a reason, buddy. Dudes promote broscience and much of that deals with how to increase the size of our toolage and whatnot. It's true. We all wanna be bigger, faster, stronger...........
It took a woman's encouragement for me to see that faster isn't always better. "Slow down, Pedro....the race isn't over until everyone reaches the finish line".
It took a woman's intuition to help me see the benefits of having wls.
It took a woman's encouragement & feedback to know that I'd done the right thing.......and was doing the right thing.
Women, my friend, make the world go 'round.
Know this. Accept this.....and roll with this. You'll be better for it.
Now....I'm not a preacher. Therefore I'll come down off the pulpit and stfu.
My hope for you is that you relax and get some good and solid advice for the questions in your head at this time. I know they are many and they are wide ranging. It's a very difficult time.....making the decision on wls. I feel for ya, mayne. I was right there just a short time ago.
I truly get the concerns over having good wood. Trust & believe that I get that......but mainly trust & believe that your wood will be gooder once you drop any unneeded pounds you may be toting and embrace your health and fitness. It's all good, bro. The wood is gonna be all good.
Guess what? You'll know when the wood's all good, too......know in the best and most sure way......because a WOMAN will tell you.

Protein is important for several reasons. 1- it aids healing 2- it helps you feel full longer. I'm sure there are other reasons that I can't think of.
I banded about 6 weeks ago. Are you on fb? There is a private group of people who banded in august. Look me up- crystal cash white- and I'll add you!

I may have posted somewhere before that I've never had a boyfriend... well now I do!
    And he loves my sleeve!
He's a pretty fit and muscular guy so he likes to eat a lot, meaning finish all my meals.
"This is amazing, I get half your cheeseburger all the time!" too funny
Just thought I would share that not every guy is going to be judgmental, some will love it for the silliest of reasons.

Here's my easy coffee recipe: leave work and drive to starbucks, order a grande americano (it's espresso with added hot water), pay with app, sit and drink and let go of my daily worries for 20 minutes.

LessOfMe0503 reacted to cbruce125 in GoFundMe accounts?
Yes. Reminds me of this article I just read
    http://nyti.ms/1WCZ4kT
As someone with the keen observational skills of Mr. Magoo, it took me a long time to notice a problem social-media acquaintances had been talking about for months.
“I woke up to four new people today asking me for money on four different donation platforms,” one friend said. “One was my ex-babysitter announcing her wedding and where I could send cash. No invitation to the wedding. Just cash.”
“I’m a believer in giving to real charities: medical research, school drives, the Red Cross, et cetera,” said Heidi Knodle, owner of a picture framing store in San Francisco. “I’m tired of people asking for a vacation, funds for a wedding or their college tuition.”
The crime writer Mark Ebner, whose mailboxes have been increasingly filled with monetary requests, has a theory about it all. “I think online begging has become the new economy.”
I thought my friends were exaggerating. After all, a visit to GoFundMe or YouCaringyields site after site of worthy donation recipients. People whose homes were wiped out by natural disasters. People with diseases I’d never heard of, with no insurance and staggering medical expenses. Kids trying to pay for their parents’ funerals. Parents with seriously ill children wanting a trip to Disney World, and sick animals owned by people who couldn’t afford the vet bills.
One man had set up a fund for a friend who needed to take a couple of months off while his wife died of brain cancer.
But then, there were others. Many, many others. Education funds are great, but do I really want to pay for a friend to travel to Peru to become a shaman?
Should the woman who has lost a lot of weight (good for you!) ask her friends to pay for $2,500 worth of laser skin tightening? What about the girl seeking $600 for her “personal development journey”? (Not much to ask, but she was so beautiful, I didn’t understand why she didn’t develop herself into a model and make a whole lot more than that.)
......Here’s the question I can’t stop asking myself: Has social media made our craving for attention and validation overwhelm all other considerations? There is nothing new about asking your friends for help (remember rent parties?), but that help was confined to a small group of people you actually knew.
Now, no such boundaries exist. Your 4,000 Facebook friends should know if you can’t pay your rent — or your plastic surgery bill. And who knows? They may just pay up.
There was a time when there were needs, and there were wants, and we knew the difference. Now?
    Now I’m not so sure."
People need to stop begging friends and family for money unless it is a life and death emergency.

    Totally my opinion...
If you have to beg others (friends and strangers) to afford something like this, then you can't afford it.
Reduce your spending, save money and pay for it yourself. Living below your means (which means you aren't spending every last penny of your paycheck and that you are saving a good percentage) should be a given. Just off the top of my head - cut out the high phone bill (plenty of low cost phone plans out there below $40/month - I pay around $30/for TWO phone plans!), stop eating out, cook in bulk and freeze meals, do away with shopping for fun or things like car washes, manicures or cable... just about everyone has one or two (or 10) things that they do that could be stopped to save up without causing real pain. The money is there, you just have to give up some other luxury to find it.
Again, completely my opinion, but I think it is a really sad sign that some people think they are owed an easy time just because they want something, instead of working hard and making some effort to do it themselves.

LessOfMe0503 reacted to byebyedarkpassenger in I'm a size.... WHAT?!?!
Hi everyone! So the other day my Mom and I went Christmas shopping together. I also wanted to buy pants for myself as mine are pretty much falling off. I've been wearing 18W or 20W for years. I told my Mom that plenty of contributors on this forum say there's a big gap between sizes 16W and 16 and thought I might be stuck in that no man's land.
So I try on a pair of 16W jeans. Too big.
Next, a pair of 16 (regular size!) jeans.
    ... too big.
    Next, 14s.
    They fit perfectly.
    WHAT!!!!
In my heart of hearts I never thought I'd ever see that number on a tag on my clothing.
    Woo-hoo!

I posted on FB about my surgery the night before. I asked for people's love, thoughts, prayers and support. NO ONE was negative at all. I don't pretend to assume that no one has said a negative thing about me behind my back, but that's their weakness, not mine.
