  1. That is awesome cavegirl! Did you take anything for gas?
  2. Congrats on your successful surgery! What a blessing that everything went so well! Keep us posted!
  3. I'm on day five of my pre-op diet and am in full swing with caffeine withdrawal headache's. How long before they go away? I was thinking I had it lucky and was somehow mysteriously not having them until I figured out on wed that my sugar free jello (mocachino expresso) had it in there. Now that I've stopped eating the jello my head is killing me. Any idea how long before the headaches will stop?
  4. Welcome fig, 43 lbs is GREAT! I get banded on 01-17 and cannot wait, even though I'm scared to death I know this is the right decision. I'm on my dr's pre-op diet of sugar busters. Day 5 of it and going good. I have killer caffeine withdrawal headaches but I just keep trying to take it a day at a time. I have gotten so much info from this forum and support. There is literally everything youd ever want to know about lapband. My favorite thing is the chat so you can talk live with ppl and ask them your specific questions. PPL on the chat have been SO helpful because they know what its like to be in my shoes! It may be tough for you to get on it with dialup but there is plenty of info in the forums to keep you busy! Good luck and congrats on your weightloss!
  5. So far so good, Did you eat baked sweet potatos on the pre-op? I saw on a sight that they are okay foods on sugar busters but it doesnt say that I can have them on my sheet from dr b's office. So far I'm doing good, the biggest challenge is not eating with the tv on. I can't believe at how addicted to watching tv while eating I am. I have lost about 5 lbs so far and Im only on day 4 of the diet! I know its just water but hey, every little pound counts!
  6. Welcome aboard, I go to be banded by Dr. Bagnato on 01-17 and I can't wait! I have severe sleep apnea too and I'm hoping it gets better after I lose some weight too!
  7. I am self pay in GA and it took me only two weeks to get a surgery date (and this was only because my doc required a 2 week preop diet to shrink my liver) In some places it can go VERY fast! Let us know!
  8. How did you support your stomach? with your hands while walking? Or did you wear something?
  9. Ok, it has 2 grams per shake so I think that should be okay!
  10. Got my band date of 01-17-08! Started my sugar busters diet today. Some pouty moments where I was hungry, but I drank a protien shake and that helped fill me up some. Protein shakes are ok on sugar busters correct?
  11. Add me! I'm January 17th!
  12. Hi, Im 29 from south georgia and go Monday for my pre-op assessment. I am self pay since my insurance company would rather pay for heart surgery and obesity complications rather than aid me in becoming healthier. I just lost my mother a month ago to a heart attack and with my family history I have made the decision to use my inheritance money to start my journey to a healthier lifestyle. My surgeon is Dr. Bagnato in Albany, GA. I am absolutely terrified but I am missing out on so much in life because of my weight and I want to be around to marry my fiance and watch my 7 yr old daughter grow up. I'm anxious and excited all at the same time. My current weight is 375 so I am eager to see the lbs come off slowly but surely. Just thought I would introduce myself and get encouragement from so many of you that I see are doing wonderfully after having this procedure!
  13. Thanks! How was the sugar busters diet? I am invisioning it in my head as being really hard to stick to and utter hell, lol. I realize the importance of sticking to it and really hope that I can. I just am sooo hungry all of the time and it seems like such a large amount it takes to fill me up. What exactly was the procedure like? How soon could you resume normal activity like work etc?
  14. Hello Everyone! I am meeting with Dr. Bagnato on Monday to do my pre op assessment. I am self pay so I have been told I can schedule my surgery pretty quickly. I am from Moultrie. Any tips suggstions etc?
