Feeling so Sexy
This is for everyone out there that thinks you will never feel really sexy again. I am a little over 5 months into my band and have lost 66 lbs and regained my sexy little spirit! I feel as sexy now as I did when I was 18! It is wonderful (even a little bit scary). I catch men staring at me again. Of course my husband likes it too as he reaps all the benefits! I am so glad that I had lapband procedure and finding myself all over again. Here's hoping this little thread finds you feeling so sexy again too. Gail:wub:

When to weight in??
I guess I am a weirdo, having a scale at home would drive me nuts. i weigh in every week at tops (take of pounds sesnsibly) meeting, a non for profit weight loss support group that does accept people who have had bariatric surgeries as well as people who are trying to loose weight. I love it. My dr. office has a support group but it is just one time a month. I find that going to tops helps me to stay focused on my weightloss goals and my eating habits Gail

Taking care of me for a change!!
my suggestion is to have a bottle of water in your hands. this always works for me. I went to big family christmas after my band. I actually sat their watching people gorge themselves thinking thank god i am no longer a slave to food. good luck. Gail:thumbup: You can do it!

New Post
Okay, I got online tonight and saw a message stating that I hadn't done any new posts in 30 days and that I must be getting shy. So here it is my new post. I haven't seen any new posts to respond to. So here is a new one. I am at a bit of a standstill right now. I am struck at 60lbs lost. Going for a fill on June 5. Can't wait. Calling dr. office weekly to see if they have had a cancellation. Hope this post finds everyone loosing and healthy. Talk to you Merry Loosers soon. Gail:biggrin2:

Room for a new member?
Dear Connie, Yes, I love their office staff! They are all wonderful there. I have a hard time staying motivated to excersize. It just isn't something I enjoy. I know that if I did more that I would be loosing even faster and get toned at the same time. I hope that as I loose more weight I'll be more motivated. I usually excercize 2 to 3 times a week. I know I could do more and I think I will, it is just learning to change my life and adjust to the new one. Hope your doing well. Gail

When did your period come back?
Hi honey, I have Pcos too. I was diagnosed in 1993 at age 20. It can be a devistating disorder. If you haven't had a period in a year or more (actually any time you don't have one after 60 days) you need to go see your ob/gyn or see a reproductive endocrinologist. I went through infertility treatments and had a daughter in 1997. I then got pregnant 4 years later after loosing about 20 lbs. 4 years later I had another little boy. My dh has had a vasectomy now. You don't want the lining in your uterus to get too thick, which is why you would not want to go more than60 days to see your doc. Tha can cause lots of problems. I now have lost 53 lbs since december, when I was banded. I have my period like clock work now. So it can happen. You are young and should not let this disorder take over your body. It can have devistating long term effects.

Emotional Eaters
:huh2: I just wanted to share a little bit of wisdom I got from my dr. this past week that has really helped me with my emotional eating issues. He told me that every time I am tempted to eat or find myself in the kitchen to think of the word HALTT. Am I Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired or Thirsty? This has helped me a lot. I sometimes confuse other feelings for hunger since I am so accustomed to eating to numb my feelings out. Good Luck. I hope that this little tid-bit helps you too. Love, Gail:thumbup:
