I have had a rocky road...............................
April 29th I had a lap band fitted. (no fill)
July 28th I had the port removed due to infection / over granulisation.
October 20th - Had my port refitted - and first fill of 4mm put in.
I have had the best part of this year under bandages and been visiting the team to control infection and only this week did I have the final act of a 'new' port and 4mm of saline placed into my band.
Despite a difficult year, where I have considered 'bypass' + 'removal' out of desperation, I am now focussed on making the very best from my delayed time out, As I have read and read and read everything on lap band and feel in a really good place, that having experianced the lows, I hope to now fully appreciate the highs.
