    Biggest obstacle

I try to get small portions before sitting down to make it a little easier
  2. 3 weeks out and my biggest obstacle is realizing my food isn't going to run away from me when I'm eating. It's not going anywhere and I can take my time. I also need to learn that I'm unable to eat near the amount I used to before. These changes are scary but so helpful. Who is with me?!

    Hopeless

Also. Water swings might be your problem. You lose a lot of water at first, then you start losing more fat and gain water so your weight equals out, but stick to it! It is a reoccurring theme, but You got this!
  4. I also don't like protein shakes. But I'm willing to trying different stuff. I can have full liquids next. Does anyone know how flavorless protein tastes in cream soups (cream of chicken, celery, mushroom...etc)

I'm stick and I'm losing hope!

Fluids and protein. Trust the system and talk to your surgeon they can help the best. Best of luck to you!
  6. It's been a week since surgery. I am not getting enough protein but I'm forcing down the protein I do get. Give me ideas for phase one and two protein consumption please! I can only intake 3-5 ounces of liquid in at a time. But I have lost 25 pound total. 13 pre op and 12 so far post op.

I would try an extremely high protein diet like grilled chicken and turkey for a few weeks cutting out nearly all carbs. But eat when hungry because when the body is hungry it stores fat in case of famine.

    Plastic

I had my surgery 5 days ago. And I was getting a piece of tie off my new shoes and I swallowed a small piece. Like extremely small. Should I be worried?
  9. The only thing I can see to help you is getting in more water. You work out and walk a lot for water intake should be higher. But keep working hard! You're doing great!
  10. Tomorrow is my big day and oh lord is it all hitting me. My pre op diet I stuck to like glue and I feel ready. This is exciting to me and I feel the relief already. I know my journey is far from over. But the support has been amazing. I never thought my family and friends would ever be this supportive, but it's been amazing.
  11. @@jane13 no bread or potatoes at a meal is down right cruel lol ???? I know it's worth it though ????

    WHATS REALLY GOING ON?!

I was told to get more Protein like 70-100 grams. Try that so your body is forced to eat fat If you're working out that much, the body feels starved if it's not getting enough protein. Keep working girl you got it!! ☺️☺️☺️
  13. @@jane13 I just got my surgery date yesterday for June 30th. And just started pre-op diet. Bread and potatoes are my thing so this is really hard but I'm working hard for this.
  14. I've always been a bigger girl. But in 6th grade I got fat and went on my first diet ordered by my doctor. Ever since then I've had a negative look of myself. I was always in lot of athletics participating in every sport I could, I was still fat. I was a popular girl because I was in so many sports. Now I'm in college, still an athlete, and still obese. I have back problems, asthma, low self confidence. It's time for a change. I'm ready to lose the weight I've been trying to lose for 8 years now, and live the life I've been dreaming of.
