  1. I use a 100% Whey Protein Isolate and it's 25g per scoop, I mix it with everything.
  2. I was self pay and after the thousands of dollars I spent I would not do anything to defy what the doctor had said. I want to be the best for me, and don't want to risk anything
  3. Personally I waited for 1 week after surgery due to water retention, swelling, all that hospital stuff. Then I started weighing daily for the next while. Now it's every few days . Everybody is different
  4. I was sleeved in 7/31 by Dr Jesus Lopez at the Santa Fe Clinic in Mexico. Everything went great there for me
  5. I was sleeved 7/31 and have lost 17 since surgery and 34 lbs total.
  6. I went back 6 days after surgery (3 days off work not counting the weekend). I was on no pain meds and was feeling fine. I work in an office where I sit most of the day so I had zero complications
  7. I'm 3 weeks post op and only 3 people know/knew I was having surgery. I'm a very private person so what I do with my body is no one else's business but my own.
  8. I got mine from Walmart they are small pearls. 500mg per capsule. Much easier to swallow over the big guys
  9. I try to stay between 20-25g and most carbs are natural carbs
  10. You can get smaller pills and space them throughout the day, that helps too.
  11. Bookkeeper/Payroll Manager
  12. Once I returned home from surgery I had to hit the stairs since my apartment is on the second story. Just take things slowly and be careful
  13. Clear broth should be allowed, wait until you are approved for full liquids and you can add your protein shakes in there
  14. I went last month to Mexico. I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone
  15. Best of luck! You got this, don't let anyone hold you back!
  16. Did anyone else experience a temporary stall or slight gain during your period? This is my first one post-op and kinda want to know what to expect.
  17. Congrats!! Keep up the great work!
  18. Congrats!! I can't wait for that day to come for me!
  19. Only my parents and one real close friend knows. I'm keeping it quiet for now because I have a very judgemental family and I just want this to be positive and don't want to be nagged on or put down because of my decision. I did this for me not for them. When the time is right or if someone asks I'll be honest about it. So far since starting my pre-op diet to now 2 weeks post op I have lost 30 lbs or so. My coworkers have noticed my clothes are baggy and I don't eat out anymore, no more daily cokes, sugary coffees ect. I just tell them I'm on a new diet and have been getting active more (which is mostly the truth). When I feel like it, I might tell them. But it's my Business and my life and my body. I don't need to share everything. I'm a very private person to begin with.
  20. Ugh I'm getting my first period just two weeks out. I'm having some really bad cramps. I don't think I'll be stepping on the scale for a few days. Super bloated.
  21. Are you taking any vitamin supplements? Try taking a B vitamin and see if that helps. Everyone recovers from surgery differently.
  22. I'm down 10 lbs almost 2 weeks, was probably about where you are at one week. Each body is different, I'm having trouble keeping up with walking right now due to heat. But at work I make sure I get up and do a few walks around the office. Hopefully the next few weeks I'll add some more mileage under my belt like the first few days.
  23. That's great! Maybe try to break it up into a few walks throughout the day. Every bit helps.
  24. Get up and walk, that will help the gas go away. If you can't get out of bed yourself, call for a helping hand. But definitely walk walk walk it'll push the gas out.
  25. Are you doing any sort of physical activity? If you are staying mostly sedentary that could affect it, or you may be shrinking and just not having the lbs come off. Up your activity and see what happens
