  1. Ahhh. You are awesome! I needed that today. I have hadixed emotions for tomorrow. But... I checked my current BMI and knew I was making the right choice.
  2. Mine is tomorrow TeeNah !!!!!! 10 am check in, 11:30 surgery. I'm in SoCal. Where are you?!
  3. When was your surgery? Today?
  4. Wow! You are a rock star!!!! I check in to hospital at 10 tomorrow with surgery at 11:30.
  5. Smrogg did you just have surgery this morning?
  6. Heck no it's not wrong! I did the SAME exact thing. I'm one day away from surgery so go on and do it! I told myself the very same words "I won't be drinking/eating this again", so I paid tribute to my favs by eating them. Some people will say not to do that but you have to do whatever feels right for you. I'm the type of person who can turn it right off if I know I might lose the potential to have the surgery. So i indulged until the last minute. I will tell you that Tylenol will be your new best friend. At least for the first few days. mine was sugar withdrawal and only for the first two days and then it was gone. I also got body aches on day three because I immediately started to go into ketosis. Tylenol again. But I'm all good now. No cravings, just waiting it out until my day!! No worries at all!!!! Best of luck to you :-)
  7. Thank you south for your ideas and advice! So close to surgery that I don't know if I will try them now but def post op!! Thx again!! *so much, not south. Lol
  8. Thank you so much! It doesn't bother me too much. I just don't want dr to say something is wrong and my surgery is put off !
  9. I'm on Tuesday as well! Check in at 10am
  10. Thx missy!! My dr gave me all of my pre op stuff (shaker, protein mix). I use muscle milk powder with skim milk.
  11. Hi all Has anyone else had the pre-op protein shakes and then tummy issues? I am two days pre-op and my tummy is just not getting used to the shakes. My stomach doesn't hurt at all but I hear constant grumbling (not hunger) like bubbles in my upper tummy underneath my left rib. I am not having any problem having a bowel movement but very soft. Sorry, TMI. Lol. Any help is appreciated!!!
  12. Hi all Has anyone else done the pre-op protein shakes and gas tummy issues? I am two days pre-op and my tummy is just not getting used to the shakes. 13. My dr recommends flintstone vitamins. Plus I drink muscle milk powder protein shakes (I'm 3 days pre-op) and I get those from Costco
  14. I would Uber. Taxis are really expensive and Uber is much more reasonable.
  15. Woo hoo!!! Feels good, doesn't it!!!
  16. Best of luck! I'm on day 4 of protein shake pre op diet. I had crazy headaches the first two days but am all good now!!! Have to drink more shakes though. I'm only drinking 2-3 per day and dr wants 4-5 per day for optimal liver performance
  17. My dr and RN says its dependent on the person. As we know every person deals with different reactions. I love drinking from straws so I will be testing it after surgery (I'll wait a month though).
  18. Hi all Did anyone else get a very sweet taste in their mouth (saliva) during the pre-op protein shake stage? I have been tested for diabetes and am not so just curious if anyone else has this...
  19. Costco is a great place to get your stuff. As far as broth goes I get chicken noodle soup and strain it. Yummy!!!
  20. My dr said I could potentially lose 88% of my body fat.
  21. Yes, I did just drop caffeine. Actually, Pepsi in particular. I was in the mind frame of "well I won't ever be drinking this again, I better live it up!" I feel like I'm drinking a lot of water but much of it is flavored (crystal light) so maybe that's adding to the headache. I was soooo miserable last night I ate (well, sucked on so they would last) a few semi-sweet choc chips and my headache went away enough for me to sleep. However, I felt very guilty!!!
