I'm Teresa...I started my journey with my bypass last year in June. I got my surgery last year on June 5th of 2013 to be exact. I was so excited because nothing ever worked for me on weight loss. I just knew this would work. And it did! I'm just over the year from it and I've lost just over 100 lbs. I'm a laid back kind of person and I try not to worry about things too much, I have 2 Chihuahuas at home that I love to pieces. I also have 3 grown boys...22, soon to be 24, and the oldest 25. I like crafts and crocheting. I have fibromyalgia which causes lots of pain, so I do what I like when my body allows me to. Now back to my weight loss surgery. I was so happy I had it done and got that weight off me! Then, I find out that my insurance will not cover me getting the excess skin that is hanging on my body removed unless my doctor writes in to them and says it's "medically necessary".

I already suffer from major depression, and now this??? I've looked in the mirror at myself. I look so disgusting! I have skin hanging under my chin, under my arms, my stomach, and my inner thighs. It's horrible! I won't even try to lose weight anymore because they won't cover it. I don't know if my doctor would write to them to tell them it's "medically necessary". This is horrible! So not what I expected. I just don't know what to do.
