  1. @@TXMissy I have mirena and yes it is uncomfortable for a bit!!
  2. Okay. That's why I was asking. I'm going to the movies on Sunday but I think I will just take some beef jerky to munch on.
  3. Hi all I am 17 days post op and in the mushy food phase. I was wondering if I can have popcorn? I'm going to call my doc tomorrow but wondered what you all think or have experienced.
  4. Can you do decaf?
  5. Yep @@TeeNahh I still have a pretty sensitive tummy and can't bend much without some sort of pain. My back pain has subsided but my gas pains in my shoulders is still ongoing. I also still get pretty tired if i do too much. Monday I felt so great that I was cleaning out closets and shredding old files in my home office and suddenly I was wiped out. I was so dang tired. So I still need to take it pretty easy.
  6. You're just crazy for lentils aren't ya ???? I truly hope you feel better and ur doc puts you on something!!
  7. @@smrogg do you take Prilosec or anything? My dr has me on Prilosec for 6 months
  8. How'd you get that cute weight ticket thing?
  9. Thank god for this thread. Surgery was 6/30 and I feel like I have no problems tolerating food. I chew it up a ton (still on mushy foods) but nothing seems to bother me and I don't know that I have felt "full" which leaves me wondering if my pouch is too big too!!! I have not had the feeling that I am going to barf, thankfully, but still makes me wonder... "Is this working for me?"
  10. Yes you are silly! It's not magic. Do not worry, it will come. I was weighing myself every day then finally stopped because I would get disappointed. I'm 16 days post op.
  11. I drink decaf tea sweetened with Splenda. I literally was just telling my daughter how yummy it is especially considering I used to drink Pepsi as if it were water. ????
  12. I feel like I can eat more too smiley bear. I never feel "stuffed" either but it could be because I'm scared to vomit.
  13. I did that for a little frozen treat pre-op. It was great!
  14. Ohhh good point! It's number one on my dr approved mushy list so I was just going off of that but you are so right. Thank you!
  15. Go on to RebootWithJoe.com Great recipes
  16. I have juiced as part of my previous string of diets and loved it. I couldn't make it a lifestyle but still want my morning juice on occasion. How far post op do we need to be before we can juice? Tip: watch Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead you won't regret it!
  17. I'm with Mobeans63 I take flintstones complete two times per day. I was raised on them so to me they are fantastic!!
  18. I am 13 days post op and didn't freak out before but in the hospital afterwards I had a few moments where I said "what the heck did I just do?!" It will pass but it helps to be ready for your journey. Say goodbye to things you won't have, at least for a while. Best of luck!
  19. I tried an egg but it was hard boiled so I mashed it to bits in my mouth. But it wasn't fantastic. My new thing is cutting potatoes into strips and baking them until they are mushy and it's like I'm eating fries!!! Yummy!! Mashed potatoes can get sooo boring.
  20. Hi @@IamKe69 this is a great forum to get updates on everyone and how we're all coping with our new tummies. What surgery did you have? And how are you feeling?
  21. Wow! Three sips?!?! Thanks for sharing. I am glad you're feeling okay now.
  22. Why were you denied, that's terrible!!!
  23. @@sarahbee omg I was thinking the same thing about after taste! Blehhh. My NUT said I could chew SF gum and thank goodness for that! The after taste.... No words. I did not care for shakeology but each to their own. I don't mind the crio sport whey chocolate from Costco. It's kind of sweet but not bad.
